  1. i reckon a clear belt cover would look good, see the pulleys but still have the safety of not having the belt exposed.

video would rock, make it a long one, and dont drown out the engine noise with dodgy music ;)
  3. TTs will suffer detonation if the fuel is not up to standard, and detonation leads to this kind of thing NAs are still prone to this, but nowhere near as much as the turbo's
  4. you have an NA though so id have thought it wouldnt really matter if you run it on 95.

indeed they can, but the amount of power you would need to transmit through it to reach 201mph would fry the box.
  6. the expansion tank cap is the yellow one right in the corner near the bonnet prop hinge.
  7. strange that its only the boost gauge that gets jammed on zeds. Had a similar thing on a Mondeo but the speedo got stuck, a sharp bang of the dash and its good as new :D
  8. yes deffinatly, anyone here will tell you that a dodgy temp sensor will make the car run really rough. Happened to ours and had exactly the same symptoms as Matty.

155mph, it is eletronically limited to that.
  10. little black box on the RHS throttle body (looking from the front) about the size of a match box, iirc theres a plug on the front and a plug on trailing leads.
  11. the base idle is set too low, there is a screw at the back of the plenum near the battery, adjust this (people say to disconnect it and do it with the engine running but the plug is a PITA to get off, so I just shut the engine off and adjusted it, worked fine for me). This will stop the revs from dropping below a desired rpm (about 550rpm here). It shouldnt go up to 1500rpm, maybe reset the ECU and see if it stops. Somebody else might be able to offer an explanation though.

a siezed turbo would result in no boost at all, any of the pipes blown off?

collant temp sensor is on the top aluminium rad hose, the one on the LHS i think, the other one is for the gauge on the dash.
  14. dunno about you but i can see an obvious difference in the size there.
