  1. some of the ebay traders were selling the anti roll bar links and bushes recently, if your struggling for a supplier it may be worth having a look dont know what sort of quality they are though
  2. If your wanting to tint your door windows, dont!. any tint you put on them is likely to make them illegal. If stopped with them you could end up with points a fine plus having to remove them. front side windows must let through at least 70% light, your car probably is already tinted to about 20% so youve only got 10% to play with, I dont think theres any 10% tints out there and even if there was they wouldnt be worth bothering about
  3. that looks great but think i'd shit myself if i tried it
  4. also make sure when you fit them they are level, if they are slightly at an angle and they can give problems with the mechanism sticking
  5. lol hopefully it aint a lost cause!
  6. :D :D, but the thanks goes to you for the help youve already provided
  7. Not blaming you for the accident bud, just stating that it was the unfortunate title and that you laid the blame purely on the old dear which was what probably caused the controversy.
  8. now if youd said it wants to take total control, then .................yep female hormones
  9. nope deffinately male hormones.... I ignore her, which she complains about but i ignore that as well but she can't ignore anything the nosy bitch wants to know everything
  10. yep they keep getting lighter with every cut i make in the hunt for good metal :D :D
  11. mmmmm tempted..... but at the moment ive got adjustable sills, and they take precident of my funds
  12. Got to agree with Billy my thoughts were exactly the same, I agreed with everything SRRAE said until the last couple of lines which were ott. Mark its easy for us sitting behind keyboards to criticize but when you make comments like the title "Old tw@t on A19 caused accident" and some of the other bits and peices you left yourself wide open to some of the comments made, that could have been any one of us stuck on the outside lane for a hundred reasons, broken down, accident, road blocked etc and what would our thread been called " fookin twat saab driver on A19 caused accident by driving like a tosser ". The fact is that you are supposed to drive to the conditions, and that includes visibility ahead whether shit weather or blind corner you are supposed to drive at a speed that enables you to stop if required, and to be honest its sounds like you avoided the accident by sheer good luck rather than good driving. :) but after saying all that ive driven like a twat at times and will probably do it again and theres probably not many on the forum who can say that they are perfect drivers and always drive within the law and to the conditions, but if I fook up then its on my head and i wont deny it I certainly wont try to pass the blame onto someone who dosent deserve it. PS. wait till the old biddy recovers and says..... I just stopped to answer the phone and .......
  13. Heres the link regarding boost jets :- http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/PICS/boostJets/boostJets.html also run a search, theres quite a bit of info on what and what not to do, ie set it up with a quality boost gauge and an aftermarket chip
  14. bought mine to spray waxoyl, and possibly repaint the sills which should'nt be a problem hopefully. but Im also considering adding extra reservoir capacity by piping up a second tank for bigger jobs.
  15. Well said and your not alone, there seem to be quite a few Z owning treckie fans who style their cars on klingon warbirds :smw:
  16. bought one of those myself, to good a bargain to mis
  17. Highland District Council are buying a fleet of Z's fitted with this kit to keep the roads open through the winter :)
  18. That aint a lot of threads considering the forces involved when accelerating, braking, cornering etc. gotta recommend you get some longer studs, better safe than sorry
  19. the only reason I went for the adjustable rods was because of the damage caused to the suspension arms by the old poly bushes not because they were adjustable, when I asked around with regards to replacing the bushes again the responses were a bit vague so I took the safe option and bought adjustables from Smithy, good bit of kit and the steering/handling feels really good, cant recommend them enough..
  20. lol so they're functional as well as good looking
  21. Nice to meet you guys (even if it was fookin cold). was there much at the retail park?
  22. Ossian replied to DGM's topic in Events - UK
Thats the great thing about the forum, just ask and we can get advice from all over the country :). I know what you mean though theres no one around here who really knows these motors enough for me to let them work on my Z..... so plan on doing nearly all my own maintenance ( plus im too stingy to pay some of the hourly rates some garages are charging) ps seen you heading for work this morning, and are you going to Falkirk tonight im planning on going to the stadium but probably give the retail park cruise a mis ( due to a high probability of being recognised :D)
  23. They probably mean the sills are corroded near to the seat belt mountings, and yes quite a few z's have this problem especially UK motors but I suspect more and more of the Jap imports will start to suffer this too! Oil leaks cant be failed at mot, but best getting somebody to look at it if its just seepage its not really a problem but any major leak will need looking into especially if its for the turbos you dont want them lacking oil or it will be expensive if it fooks them
