  1. Anyone whos welded panels/sills on their Z, what gauge steel did you use. Im doing the sill areas and was going to use 1.2mm but looking at the original metal it looks more like 1mm. Suppose if I use the 1.2 it will take longer to rust through ;) .
  2. , hope its meant to be tounge in cheek http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbvP7dT3Dx0
  3. Ive got to agree with most on here, with proper supervision he will learn how to use a gun safely and with respect. I do small bore target shooting and it is instilled in everyone when starting out, the dangers of incorrect use of a weapon no matter whether its a firearm, shotgun or airweapon. youngsters seem to take it on board and hopefully continue to practice what they have been taught. What i expect you will find, is that the little shits that do the damage with air guns never had any training and are oblivious to the dangers that can be caused by indiscriminate firing and taking pot shots at people. So good on you mate. PS a shotgun at nine..... didnt he land on his ass after the first shot :)
  4. Sorry bud, havent been on much for a couple of days. personnally think youve made the right choice with the adjustable links all the benifits of the poly bushes without the side effects off fukin the suspension arms. And as Paul C says they really are easy to fit just line them up to the original tie bars for lenght, then for fine tuning get them set with at a garage that can carry out four wheel alignment ps. the front tension rod bolts can be a bit akward to get out (they hit the arch lining) but they do come out with a bit of levering.
  5. ohhhhh yehhhhh fook the dremmel, i'd let her play with my power tool any day!
  6. Congrats on the new Z, though shame you got rid of the vette know your a keen yank metal lover, it must have been heart breaking watching her go after all the effort you put into her
  7. Yep give your local trading standards office a call, if youve bought the car of the Nissan garage with a warranty theve got to honour it no matter what the've spent on the motor (the fookers are always quick enough to take the money of you). Even the threat of going to trading standards can have the desired effect..... I just hope your local TS office is keen, Ive seen some that try not to upset the local buinesses FFS!!! thats what their there for Ohh and dont do any repairs or fit the resistor till you speak to them
  8. I couldnt find out if the newer style bushes were softer and didnt want to take the chance so I went down the adjustable tension rod route. Its not the tension rod that gets damaged its the suspension arms where the tension rods bolt onto that fook up.
  9. some of the local accents and sayings are class. favourite has got to be the one heard by a mate when visiting Dundee, in the bakers the guy in front asked for a hot steak pie and a mince an ingininanawe, took him five minutes to work out wtf hed asked for
  10. both the same if i remember correctly. not that long since i changed mine and am pretty sure they wernt sided. but then i,m getting old and have a memory like a sieve :)

  12. depends on the time you get here, im working but will be finished by about 4:30, if its after that I could even pick you up from Falkirk station and take you to see the car (not the best idea though looking at a motor in the dark)
  13. that may explain why you never seen any Z's ( though they are like hens teeth up here) you were too busy inside eyeing up the men
  14. I live up here and hardly ever see men in KILTS far less skirts, did you spend three days in gay bars ?
  15. Far cheaper going to a local auto spark or motor factor for a battery, just bought a new battery myself, nearly 30 quid cheaper than halfords.
