mini west lothian meet
 sod all in West Lothian anyway unless you want to do a couple of laps of McArthur Glen........ kidding, ;) the Falkirk cruise used to meet at the wheel car park, but most of the motors seem to head for Central Retail Park. Linlithgow would probably be a good meet point for West lothian guys, easy to find and hard to get lost! If you want to meet in Falkirk then travel in convoy probably best with the Falkirk football stadium, really easy to find and close to the retail park

mini west lothian meet
It is the cruise night and was going to suggest this myself, but only good if your motors legal and front windows arent tinted, been present at the cruise quite a lot but never had the Z there, lots of nice motors usually to be seen. My Z is off the road just now but may pop up to the retail park if you all decide to go there (I'll park the pug round the corner)

Fitting h/g's

Fitting h/g's
Did you get instructions with the gasket ?
-
Fitting h/g's
Yeh I saw he said copper spray, but the only copper spray that I ever had dealings with was basically just a spray on grease for bearings bushes etc. :D been off the tools now for over 7 years and it's probably 10+ years since ive done a head gasket, so am a bit behind the times with new methods/materials for HG gasket fitting, just ive never heard of anyone using copper spray.

Failed :(
Are you doing the job yourself, I have a couple of fooked bottom arms but I think the ball joints are ok, although its always better to fit new parts when it comes to something like this, if your on a budget you may be able to use them. Dont know if they will come out the arm intact but your welcome to them....... I'm only along the road (Falkirk) let me know if you want them

Fitting h/g's
Were there any fitting instructions with the gasket ?. if it recommends copper spray then use it, if not I would be wary as the grease could have the tendancy to hydraulic when tightening down the gasket, allowing the correct torque to be obtained. but with the engine running afterwards the heat could then affect the grease thining it or burning it therefore altering the thickness of gasket causing a loss of torquing effort of the head bolts, which could lead to gasket failure, tracking and possible head damage. Thats only my opinion, but if I had to use something I'd look for a specialised sealer..... something along the lines of hylomar
