  1. Its about £180 for Proshaft bearing. As for the one piece, Nothing extra is needed for fitment. Labour for fitting is about the same (In fact, slightly less) than fitting new bearing.
  2. As Groover says, its cheaper and quicker for the genune parts from MJP, compared to buying those from the U.S ! About £9 each, see http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=114410&highlight=rocker
  3. I really like the colour. It was only available in later models and is nicer than the older colours imo. I figured you must have a very special looking Z yourself, from your comments, so was very suprised to see you own a stock NA.
  4. Exactly what Im talking about, a nice clean install without going OTT, plus it will sound better than others with a boot full of subs.
  5. ****. LMAO . Im laughing so hard at them it really hurts
  6. Cambelt service is every 60k miles or 5years. Whichever is sooner.
  7. imo : Decent headunit. Some quality Components in the front and possibly a descreet 8/10" Sub with amp for the boot in a custom shaped or stealthed enclosure is as far as I would go. Quality, over quantitiy. Its a High performance Sports car, that should not be weighed down by filling up with spakers, amps and subwoofers. Leave that to the McDonalds car park chavs.
  8. Yep, Im afraid saying "this is what a Z looks like with 25mm spacers" is meaningless. 25mm spacers will have a completely different effect depending on the wheel width and offset fitted to them. If I fitted them to my own Z for example, they would potrude right out the arches by 25mm and the car would not be driveable, becuase I have wheels with an ideal width and offset already. Wether a spacer should/could be used, and what size all depends on how the wheels current offset and width matches up to the cars ideal measurement for flushness, and wether there are clearance issues to deal with. The offset is the distance from the centreline of the wheel to the hub surface of the wheel. Zero offset would mean the hub surface is in the centre of the wheel. Negative offset would mean the hub surface is more towards the rear of the wheel. Positive offset would mean the hub surface is more towards the front of the wheel. All wheels come in a variety of different widths and offsets, with typical offset ranges are from -50 to +50, and is a measurement in millimetres. This makes calculating offsets a little more confusing, as wheel widths are typically measured in Inches. Now, becuase the vehicles hub is in a fixed horizontal plane, altering the offset of a wheel will alter where the wheel sits within the wheelwell. More negative = more inwards , more positive = More outwards. The same thing occurs with the wheels width, a wider wheel with the same offset as a Narrower wheel is ofcourse going to have both its outer and inner edges extend further. Which is why Width and offset are so dependent on each other, and what the ideal width and offset is for a nice flush fitment is dependent on the cars own dimensions from Hub surface to arch lip, and also between the suspension components for inner clearance. What spacers do is effectively increase the offset of a set of wheels (make them more positive), which ofcourse pushes the outer edge of a wheel outwards.
  9. Any before and after pics ? Im looking to get my centres powercoated and the dish polished. Was goign to do myself but not had the time.
  10. started bit dull, but some of the later jumps were cool. **** having to ride back to the start at the top though. I'd prefer to see if with an engine attached :scooter:
  11. it be me http://www.facebook.com/Legrath
  12. iPhone. Anyone that owns an alternative Smartphone loves to try and slag it off, but it is the best all-rounder. Other phone manufacturers bring out a new phone every few months, which a slightly faster processor or a slightly better this or that....but it means nothing. The iPhone has a quality about it that leaves the others feeling cheap and plasticky. It feels great to use and the appstore is immense compared to others. The only other phone I would consider is the new Dual core LG Optimus 2X (being released in 2 weeks time), which is very impressive spec-wise - Im not sure it does anything better that I'd actually use it for myself, but if you did want the higest spec then this would probably be it.
  13. Doh.....sry. Specialtyz
  14. http://www.splparts.com also make one. Its not listed on website, you'll need to contact them. I spoke to them about it a couple of years ago, but I think Jaffa actually has one. Their design looks a lot less crude than the one above.
  15. I cant make out the text...does it mention both fabric materials ? They should of been available at the same time. One was fitted to cars with leather seats, and the other to cars with cloth seats. Nubuck is very similar to suede, but sounds like its probably a synthetic suede replica....which is basically what Alcantara is.
  16. wow, that should look great once lense cover removed. I have been looking for a complete set of replacement gauges for ages now, but never found anything I liked or that offered all the relevant gauge options. But this Daemon gauge looks great...fits in nicely with the stock gauges. Do you have a link to the supplier?
  17. Thanks Gaz, an interestng read. Although it seems to have te older interior trim. What im really after is a brochure that shows both the Grey alcantara, and the blue'ish velour interior options that came on Series 2-4 cars. What im specifically interested in is what Nissan calls the interior material options, whether Alcantara and velour are the correct names.

  19. Other possibility is that the Starter has worked loose, very common for the bolts to undo from vibrations and the starters movement usually ends up snapping the top of its mount.
  20. Simplest option would be to get a complete Tailgate from a breaker, in same colour as yours. Typically looking at about £150, but with a lot less labour to replace.
