yeh..turn the little dash brightness adjuster up  ..or remove the blue plastic covers from each of the dash bulbs. Made a big difference to mine.
  2. Had my cat de-catted today, but Mechanic noticed an exhaust leak (a ticking/tuttering and slight blowing noise) around the Drivers side Turbo exhaust manifold area. He was unable to get to it (no suprises there) to find out the exact cause. There is also a slight oil leak coming from that same area. The noise does'nt get any less as the engine warms up. What are the possible and likely problems and costs..... Cracked Manifold, Turbo Manifold Gasket, Knackered Turbo....or some simple minor fix (yeh right  )...engine out ? Whatever the problem, looks like its going to cost a forture just to find out the reason ! Ryan, looks like you might have a new customer soon ! Time to get drunk I think :duffer:
  3. Nice shortie...you only just bought it ! :smash:
  4. any recomendations or tips ? Maybe certain products will help ? mini jet washer and a stiff brush is'nt really working.
  5. Nope, its a seperate level of cover.

Its works I believe on IE4 upwards, Netscape 7..and I think FireFox 1.0 upwarads supports it. Its not a recomended bit of code though. :smash:
  7. have you checked the fluid level ? You could have a leak.
  8. I would say then that there is defiantly something wrong with your brakes. Before buying mine, I test drove around 7-8 other examples. Half of which had shockingly Poor brakes. The Zed brakes, when working correctly are actually pretty good, Not Brilliant though.
  9. Foot down, jerk on steering way - would definatly induce some serious sideways action when pulling away in a Powerfull RWD Car ! Its all about smoothness. You dont need much throttle to pull away quickly for normal traffic driving. ...and the Tyres you have make a huge difference when trying to put down all that power !
  10. A lot of the complaints about the Zed brakes, is simply becuase they are faulty. Sticking Caliper Pistons seem to be pretty common. 300zx stock braking 60-0 distance : 116 ft ( or 129ft  ) Audi A4 Tdi (2002) 60-0 distance : 130ft (p.s - seems to be some conflicitng information on 300zx braking distances. I have multiple sources that either say 116ft or 129ft)
  11. so 10 litres total.....so 4-5 litres of antifreeze recomended for a 40-50% mixture
  12. 10 litres...I did'nt think the whole cooling system carries that much liquid ? I only put 3 litres in Mine, and the Little Halfords Coolant ratio checker tool said it was ok.....can anyone confirm quanities. Cant find the info using search.
  13. The Speed limiter does indeed limit the speed....to about 112mph, although mine has no limiter it would appear. You really easily remove the speed chime with these instructions http://aus300zx.neuralmotion.com.au/tech/Alarm.htm
  14. Good Luck :) For some reason my apparantly stock 92 J-spec has cruise that works at all motorway speeds and no speed limiter.

I replaced that exact pipe on mine. I had to cut it off though, as it had gone so hard, it would not bend to get it off.
  17. Great Write Up Jeff ! This could go in the FAQ Storage Area.
  18. Evo-Stik Impact - Instant Contact Adhesive. Comes in a big red and silver tin. You have to brush it on. Make sure its the Solvent one you get, and not the crap non-solvent one. B&Q Sell it, You'll probably have to take empty can to the Desk so they can get the real stuff out of their mini-safes. It should be Thick Golden Brown.
  19. You can pick up a used replacement engine for under £1k, removal and fitting would be about £500. Engine with Turbo's for Sale
  20. We dont get any Wheelie bins in somerset (at least not the part Im in). Although they do give us little green boxes to put paper in.
  21. I like the wheels, chrome headlights and ermmm...that it does'nt have tweed. oh..and I quite like the Black Roof and window frames. The rest is very Chav.
  22. If its definatly a 91 Z32 then Its more than likely that the seller just does'nt have a clue what he is talking about. (which can have its advantages and disadvantages). Many Zed's have Single exhaust outlets as aftermarket systems. If it was a single Turbo, then It would of had tens of Thousands spent on it.
  23. That is incredible.....and 8min 30secs !
