most 260z were 2+2 Just looked in "300zx - Enthusiasts companion". Apparantly the ZX singnified a more up-market luxury than the original "Z". Unfortunalty until the Z32 was released, this also meant "less sporty".

Well the 350 is 'Z' instead of 'ZX' becuase its supposed to be an update of the original Z-cars, rather than the 300zx. I think the 280Z was changed to 280ZX as a revision, rather than a completely new car...and it just carried on from there. Not 100% sure on that though.

What Kirbz said. auto's weak. Manual's strong. However...amount of power through gearbox is'nt the cause of synchro failure, and Supra's, Skyline and Rx7 gearboxes suffer the same problem. Nissan revised the Manual transmission in 94 and 97. Pre 94 Manual transmissions used a softer synro metal. 97 onward transmission used double syncro's for 4th gear (previously only used on 2nd & 3rd) Redline MTL oil often helps alleviate the problem.

The Zcentre kit is just the same as the ebay kits.. They are just precut pieces of fabric. The labour is the same for fitting. Its a lot of money just to have the material precut IMO

Make that no n/a rear subs have hicas ;) Dont think the NA diff will take TT power too kindly. Leadergears do the internal gear upgrades to convert TT diff to NA ratio
