I'm from holland and drive a 300zx TT LWB and yes I've got a problem :(

 

A week ago my car wouldn't start. Appears that my positive side of the battery was loose. I reconnected the cable and started the car. Problem now is that my "Check Engine" light came on and the car drives like shit.

 

And when I only turn my key on +15 my fuelpump starts to prime, but when I take out my keys completely.. IT STILL KEEPS PRIMING. It won't stop till I start the car. :wack:

 

I went to the dealer and did a Conzult check.. No problems there. "check engine" light came off, so I was pleased... BUT.. Then suddenly it came on again.. .. And everytime I remove the problem, it comes Back :headvswal

 

 

I also got an Gemel Sepristar alarm build in, but the company who build it in said its not a problem related to the alarm?

 

So what could it be?? I'm now using like 20L of Fuel on 30 km

 

Could it be the Dett sensor?? And how can I check certain things?

O and I want forgot to say that I can't get rid of the "check engine" light when I stop/restart the engine. Only way to solve it is to use a paperclip and make a connection in the Conzult plug.

Have you done an ECU check to get the error code ?

Yes, but only code 55.. So no problems there..

 

The strangest thing is that the fuelpump keeps priming and sometimes you hear a relais Click, click and after that the fuelpump stops, and a fan in the front of the car starts.. Its all very weird and its driving me crazy..

the fan will come on when the ecu temp sensor is disconnected

so maybe thats at fault, as that acts like your choke

so worth trying another before you get into expensive parts

Heb ik gedaan, maar Eric komt er op dit moment nog niet uit. Heb afgesproken dat ik even een andere ECU ga proberen van een vriend van me..

 

Blijkt dat de ECU slecht is dan stuur ik de mijne naar eric toe...

check cas connection,normally puts the engine check light on when either loose or dirty connection,if you wiggle it you will hear the realy click and fuel pump prime,when key in position 2

Apologies folks for turning to Dutch. Having been on this island for ages I hardly ever get a chance to speak it and just jumped at the chance ... Sorry!

 

For anyone who wants to know what was said, I refered him to contact Eric (Lymon) who runs DTA in Holland. He's considered to be one of the few true ZX guru's and I thought he could help this chap. Turns out he has contacted Eric but is still none the wiser.

Finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel...

 

I swapped my ECU with one of a friend of mine, and YES my car runs smooth again and no warning light.... :dance:

 

I am now sending my ECU over to Eric and let him take a look at it. I think my DTA chip is gone bad.. I hope the costs are not TOO high.. :wack:
