  2. Wife tossed me..... ...pancakes with Icecream, Marshmallows and strawberry sauce
  3. Fuses are in Drivers footwell, behind plastic trim next to accelerator. If it an Import you'll need this : http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=66739
  4. No experience myself, but Thor are one of the top Tuners and dyno operators in the Country and have always been held high with praise, to my knowledge. They are also a Sponsor of this club (see banners at top) Quite a few members have experience. I guess everyone has bad days and a single employee is'nt always representative of entire company. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.
  5. Mine to. Completely stock, including 65mph "bong" and 112mph restrictor. Unfortunatly it means all the changes I've done and want to do are costing me an arm and leg on top :(
  6. Turn off flash. Put on Macro mode adjust exposure to about +2 Hold camera very very still
  7. Ssh you ! :xxx: Says the guy sweating buckests as we drove through Belgium in 36c heat with no Targa's to remove and no aircon
  8. Its not a popular conversion, but yes Im sure some may have done it. The trouble is you lose one of the best features then :smash:
  9. Dont think anybody mentioned 2+2 slicktops on this thread  There is no such thing is a 2+2 slicktop. But yes, Somebody, somewhere may have done a DIY conversion. Doubt it, but maybe.
  10. Its all automated , I guess there was a fault with the notification part. Would of been sent to the email address setup in your profile.
  11. any good instead ? http://www.300zx.org.uk/tech_03.htm
  12. the needles on the o2 sensor gauges constantly moving backwards and forwards across most of the range.
  13. with you idle correct, and temp normal...your base timing is WAY to advanced. Get a strobe light on it and double check that ! I personally would'nt drive it until thats checked. Do you o2 sensors continously sweep at 2000rpm+, about 1 sweep a second ?
  14. Presumably your timing was retarded and you have set back to how it should be. Bird's is currently 10 degree's advanced at idle, but until we know more information, like ECU sensor readings and the idle rpm this reading was at, it would be very dangerious to make adjustments, especially advancing.
  15. Your both nearly right, but you got one minor detail wrong.... ...that the LWB is better !! SWB is for those that can't handle a LWB :smw:
  16. I typed too slowly, and stand corrected. Not seen that before, including on other Jap S1 & S2's
  17. On an import that part of the light unit is blank/empty. It has been modified. Why they;ve done it..no idea !
  18. After speaking to Bird by PM, it sounds like the ecu may be getting a false Temp sensor reading. Putting the car into cold start mode, and high base timing probably from the increased cold start idle. Which will also explain running and performance problems. ECU also recorded an intermittent Temp sensor fault.
  19. whoa..whoa..whoa...if base timng is 25 degree's your going to blow it up into a million little pieces!! Either that or you were doing 0-60 runs when engine was cold !? send me those gauge screendumps, or post them up bud
  20. Most of the performance figures will be for the SWB, as most tests were done in the U.S, where all TT's are SWB. It seems makes about a 0.1 - 0.2 sec difference, but since you'll never get the same 0-60 every time its not exact science.
  21. JAE - Not to be missed. The club also holds the Annual General Meeting there.

The large majority of zed's in the rides section are on 18's. Take a pick ;) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/vbgarage.php?do=list Mine are currently 17"
  23. Just an update on this. Tried mine today 80-100mph 5th gear - 5.4 secs (tried it 3 times, thats average of the 3). 4th gear - 3.3 secs (tried it 3 times, thats average of the 3). Im running about 13psi on boost jets. Amount of Boost probably does'nt make much difference for the test in 5th, because of the low rpm before spool up.
  24. What tyres are you running now ? Goodyear F1 Falken 451 Toyo proxies
