are imports desirable
In order of descending value : Convertable TT Slicktop TT SWB TT LWB* NA Slicktop* NA SWB* NA LWB *could'nt decide which order to put these in..generally the TT is more desirable...but the TT LWB is quite common with a lot of poor examples and the average value is probably actually less than the average value of the rare NA SWB & NA slicktop . Manuals worth £500-£1000 more than Auto. So Excluding the Convertable, the most valuable would be the TT Slicktop Manual, and least valuable would be the NA LWB Auto. Uk model was only available as a LWB TT, and there is'nt really a price difference between the Jap LWB TT and UK LWB TT. Although Sometimes the UK version can be more desirable to younger owners for Insurance reasons (but many will overlook the UK version and go for an Import because of generally lower mileages and better body & Chassis condition (ie. less chance of rust corrosion)). Obviously were ignoring age/condition/mods/mileage and basing this on everything being equal. p.s T-tops = Targa yep. Almost all Zeds have targa except the rare SWB Slicktop (and the even rarer Convertable)

Z31 and Z32 manuals
Not looked through the Z31 Haynes manual but since about 99.99% of the Z32 is different to the Z31 its not going to be much good unfortunatly.

Gorgeous ZED on Ebay
Yeh its a targa :(

think its got to go
I dont think your going to see any real savings on fuel. About same as a zed TT really, depends how you drive it. Can get over 30mpg quite easily on motorway...and low 20's is about average for urban. If you floor it everywhere then you get low teen figures...but thats no different for the VR6

How easy do manuals drift!!!!!
They really are completely different cars to drive. Manual is more direct, responsive, quicker!, controllable and more fun  More greedy ?

Nissan V8 making waves
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_cRQhW7nj8 Opens her up just after 1min into the vid :D Nissan Vh45de (Aluminium 4.5i V8 32v Quad cam) - Twin turbocharged. 800-1000hp, stock internals  and being a jetboat it has no gears so it spends most of its live being thrashed at high rpm in the way other engines could never withstand....without any issues

cooling dilema!!
The backup fan should never come on, its an emergency backup for severe overheating because of a cooling system fault. The viscous fan does the job of keeping the temps down. Some will also argue that the Elec fan is for the Aircon only (although I dont agree). For peace of mind why not fit the Viscous, and put the elec fan back on ? If you dont have them then they are available from most traders 2nd hand. The koyo is chosen over the Haste as the Haste is relatively unknown..in fact until very recently I had never heard of it.

The Zed Billboard
Its not the greatest sign-writing, but plenty of Jap performance cars are used as Demo vehicles with signwriting for companys offering associated services. Im not a fan of stickers, but a Sponsored Company demo vehicle can look good with the right designs. Sad to see its being neglected though.

I think i've had enough
A few people have said - Sell it, and get an NA....but what percentage of the actual problems are directly related to it being a TT, if any !? Sounds to me like you were one of the unlucky ones, you bought a car that was'nt as well looked after as you expected and needed work. You've spent a large amount already sorting out the problems, dont give up now. Get yourself a cheap Diesel runabout, you can get all sorts of cars from Auctions with T&T for less than £500, and many under £200. Mid 90's cars such as Mondeos, lagunas, 306's, vectras, meganes, Astra's, mk5 escorts even e36 Bmw's. You'll save a fortune on Fuel, and get to enjoy the car as a hobby rather than the cost of running it as a Daily driver.

Anyone Know What Kit This Is???.
Front bumper is some sort of Bomex/Scarab/Greddy. The fibreglass widearches and skirts are originally a Strosek design, that the Likes of Paul Bailey*, Nisstek/SE Nissan** and Zcentre have based there own designs on. * no longer available ** closed down, but now available from http://www.300zxstyling.co.uk

Hi all
Hi mate and welcome. Fairlady is the name used for the 300zx in japan, they like to use names like that over there, and relates to the President of Nissans favourite musical - "My Fairlady"...a not particulaly Macho image and was therefore not adopted for the rest of the world! Might be a good idea to take a look through our buying guide, which although you have already purchased, will give you some pointers on what to look for on the car. http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/BuyingZ.htm What 300zx is it - TT/NA , LWB/SWB, Manual/Auto, Colour ? Any Pics of her ?

Well I bought that Laguna
Looks tidy. I bet that extra car allowance will be handy. p.s Waits for the Photoshopped pimped laguna pics now LOL

Dead Z Help Need Sorting Asap
Sounds like she is not running on all 6. With engine running, pull connecter of each coil pack 1 by 1 to to discover which cylinders are running or not. Once you find the faulty cylinders, its a case of checking connectors are on properly for Coilpack and Injector, and checking for corrosion. You can also swap around coilpacks to rule out there failure. If you cant find fault in the connectors then remove a coilpack and plug and test for spark individually. Code 13 - Coolant temp sensor will cause car to run overly rich. Give the sender connector a wiggle, and clean the contacts if corroded. Might also be worth checking the big blue connector is firmly plugged into the ECU, in the passenger footwell....as this would cause similar symptons (or if car has been stood up a while its not unheard of for mice to make themselves a home with the ECU and chew on some wires)

single turbo z32
First you should probably consider why you want a single turbo setup. Its a popular upgrade for Straight 6's like the supra, but as (relatively) cheap upgrade for Dyno queens..those seeking High Dyno outputs and not so interested in driveablity. A 500hp single turbo setup has poor low down power with a small powerband and would be slower on the road than a 500hp twin turbo setup. ..and then you have to consider that its not an idea setup on a V configuration engine. A custom single conversion on the VG30DETT would involve a lot of extensive and costly fabrication. You would need to find a way of linking both manifolds together, and there is very little space for that to work in the Z32 engine bay. It would be different, but it would be costly and not worth it IMO The Cedric VG30DET is a cheaper option...if it will fit with the single turbo exhaust manifolds, I know a guy with that engine in a PS13 Silvia, bit of a monster.

cambelt change
Thats list for 120k service. Do check the seals for leakage and the Tensioner and idler pulleys for any bearing noise though.
-
single turbo z32
There may be clearence issues with the firewall/bulkhead for the Exhaust balance bar (the exhaust section thats runs from the LH Manifold to the RH manifold around back of engine.

is 4 Litres enough
True, its just shy of 4 litres, but definatly more than 3.4 Never rely on a set figure. Fill the first 3 litres, leave it, check, top up..etc
