LOL, yeh I always carry a Hammer and stanley with me in case Im involved in or witness a accident  and the doors that lock with ignition also unlock in the event of an accident! THats fine if child is too young/old that it wont wriggle and fall/get out of its seat in the meantime, and even so its not exactly convenient. ok, not strangle, I was'nt being that litterate, but it does attack you

I cant see any advantages, and cant see how they can be any safer than on the B-pillar, they wont work any differently. Disadvantages- 1. If you crash and are unconcious rescuers can not open the door to help you ! 2. What if in an accident the door gets ripped off (yes it happens) 3. It makes putting a baby in a childseat in the front very difficult (have to do it through window) 4. You or passenger get strangled when somebody opens your door The Uk never got them on the doors and Japan moved them to the B-pillars in 1993. They were only ever put on the doors to meet some sort of regulation in the U.S regarding the way seatbelts should be designed so that you get in the car with the belt on, but the belts never worked that way properly and that regulation was soon dropped anyway.

vr4 mitsubishi
What category insurance write of it is ? "C" or "D" is perfectly repairable for the road, anything worse than that It would have to have caused severe structual damage and weakness that would make not what to take it on the track !

Long shot
Stock tubs are'nt T25's, they are TB22's which are Hybrids. They are slightly smaller then a T25 and have a 4 bolt pattern.

Is there a new Nissan ... Update
4.2 litre Turbocharged V8 producing about the same power as a 6.0 Supercharged V8 ! Nearly a 2.0 litre difference, and superchargers and turbochargers are very comparable in outputs these days.

Would you buy a car without a decent forum to back it up?
The thing is though, yes there is a lof of mininformation given on a forum, but with so many eyes readings it gets corrected quickly by others. However you get just as much ill-informed info given out at Meets, but usually with only a handfull of people listening who are much less likely to speak up for fear of confrontation. yes 300zx.co.uk is just a car forum, but it also has more events and meets than any other 300zx related UK club.

headlamps
Remove and dissassemble the headlights. Then clean the inside of glass and lenses. They build up a lot of dirt over the years and it makes a big difference on light output. Then fit a set of HID's.

Stepping Down
Sorry to hear your standing down mike. :( I cant say Im suprised though, what with selling your Zed some time ago and not coming on here much anymore the loss of enthusiasm was obvious and this decision inevitable. Huge thanks for all your hard work over the years, its unlikely that anyone else not in the industry will understand whats involved in keeping a Busy site like this running. All the best, David

Is there a new Nissan ?????
The car on autotrader is not a skyline, its the new GTR. Autotrader have incorrectly named it the new skyline, as Nissan have seperated the Skyline and GTR as two different models now.

Fuel
Zed's will often run fine on regular unleaded, on stock boost....but you are at risk of Detonation which will kill your engine and if your not used to listening to it then its a risk. Optimax is safer, provides more power and gives better fuel economy. Ultimate is 97 Ron (same as super unleaded). There are a 7x BP stations that sell the 102 ron fuel but its something like £2.40 a litre and is designed for Track days and dyno runs.

Yes there are low ones. Do a search for Low racing trolley jack. There are lots on ebay, and there was a thread on here not that far back about them.

What have i killed this time ? ?
Then you have Series 2 onwards controls, which does not have it. I did'nt think the S2 climate controls would have the Exernal Temp sensor....perhaps it requires it for the Climate control ECU. Can anyone with a Series 2 car confirm if they have the External Temp sensor behind the front bumper ? It sits on the drivers side near the horn, about 2cm x 2cm, black with cable running of it.

tension rods
Except your alignment is all wrong...... which will have detremental affect on handling and tyre wear. You need Adjustble upper arms to correct camber when lowering, and you must fit adjustable tension rods when fitting adjustable upper arms becuase of the strain the adjustable arms put on the busings and arm. Plus as Paul C says, its nice to dial in some extra castor angle.
