  1. Here is it removed and sitting on the Seat, and its location is circled in pic
  2. The Aircon ECU is a black plastic box about 6"x3"x1" located behind the centre console, between the transmission tunnel and the Fan unit. There is a pic somewhere I will find it.....
  3. was was before and after boost on aftermarket gauge ?
  4. Could be a small boost leak
  5. no, you should'nt get any loud hissing ! - this would indicate a boost leak. There is a boost leak detector available but the other option is to manually check all the boost and vacumn pipes for splits.
  6. Si, you know far too much info about crap cars LOL
  7. Mmm..Candy cobalt blue....I'd be very tempted to respray mine that.
  8. No, its just a different terminology of the same measurement. BHP=HP
  9. The Cobra daytona is a reclining seat....why would you have to lose the back seat ?
  10. I was looking for that site the other day, lost all my favourites and could'nt find it. Thanks ! :D Their theory is that with each Breathing modification, boost will naturally increase as there is less restriction in the system.....which is true for some Turbocharged cars, but not for the 300zx. Its dissapointing that a respectable company like Stillen would lower themselves to creating such poorly thought our tuning stages with made up figures.
  11. Headlight is held on with 4 bolts - 1 in each corner. They can be reached via the nose panel, indicator hole and inner wheel arch.
  12. The Aircon FAQ - http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=33691
  13. did they find anything then ?
  14. Malkie update your bloody avatar as you don't have a grey zed anymore !!
  15. A small vacumn pipe can cause zero boost! I've seen exactly the same problems.from just one of the small vacumn pipes that come of the 4 main turbo pipes being off.
  16. 2-3hrs without dash removal !
  17. I forgot to say that the Tensioner and idler pulleys should be checked and replaced if required. If cambelt was loose  it would point at the tensioner needing replacement. What were your symtons..did the belt slip causing incorrect timing and running problems ?
  18. IMO one of the main reasons the 300zx does'nt attract as much respect/recognition is becuase of the lack of any well known Zed's getting a name for themselves. There are no publicised Big tuner zeds and none competing in any motorsport events such as TOTB & Time attack's. for pretty much every other jap car there are many Famous Dyno/Drift/Drag/Track cars doing the rounds across the Uk and International scene. Motorsport success attracts vehicle respect and popularity. Fact.
  19. Its a nice zed that. He's had it a long time. Had has a lot of money spent on it, Kit originally fitted by Paul Bailey.
  20. I dont think I have any old accounts with money in....but then I bet thats what all the owners of that cash say. I do have an old Pension policy with about £10k in from one of my old jobs, but I;ve lost all paperwork, have changed address and dont have a clue who the pension company was.....and I dont think I can have it till I die anyway. :-S
  21. Dont remove dash, waste of time. It can be replaced much quicker and just as easily with dash in place. If its a Manual you will have to remove clutch pedal box. Zed traders can supply brand new 300zx matrix for a reasonable price.
  22. Yowser replied to Paul@SWZ's topic in Events - UK
lol, dropping hints Pete ? :D Fingers crossed lisa, let us know what they say. btw - I've seen your present....its huge....and 12 different vibrate settings !! :hyper: :p
