  2. Have you checked that the Rubber gaitors beneath the Gearstick gaitors are not torn ? Its quite suprising the noise difference between a torn gaitor and a good one, its not abnormal for gearboxes to whine, but just usually can't hear it.
  3. If you have a Jap TT then I'd highly recommend going for UK clocks over any form of convertor. You get PSI Boost and oil gauges, they look nicer and they actually work properly and reliably ! The convertors are reasonably simple to fit, but I have seen failure from the ebay ones when fitting....maybe 2 our ofhalf or dozed or so. Resistor mod is a little more tricky and requires some soldering work to the back of the clocks and you may also need to make some further adjustments on the road using the adjustment pots afterwards to get the speedo accurate.
  4. Descriptions of sounds are difficult to diagnose, the cooling system will make all sorts of strange noises when its extremely hot, under high pressure or low on water. Do not drive the car until the overheating problem is found.
  5. pmsl. Well, I got to page 25 before giving up. Very good though.
  6. Im pretty sure the Dealer is paying for the work to be done. Current status, from what I have seen (although I do not know full story), is that Dealer wants to supply new engine but was unable to find one, so garage has now sourced one for them which has been tested and is/was waiting for approval from Dealer for work to go ahead.
  7. Springbok is now Barracuda's I think ?
  8. There are only 6 rides pages ! Its certainly not idea, but it does'nt take long to find somebody....I expect whoever will take over from Mike Groves will have it on his list of changes to be made.

  20. I use Parcel2go all the time, very good service, excellent prices. Bumper weight...hmmm...less than 10kg..probably less than 5kg, so no worries about weight, but couriers will charge you a premium for length.

  22. They are the AIV pipes, the entire AIV system can be easily removed as its not required when decatted.
  23. Standard is around 320bhp, but thats in a pretty much detuned state aimed at hauling a big luxury car around with lots of low down torque. Its said to be one of the strongest factory produced engines available and is a derritive of the engine used in the Le mans race car, and 400hp should be fairly easily attainable with breathing and cam modifications, along with the added benefit of all that torque, throttle response and high revving nature. I believe john is going a bit more extreme with a 5.0 litre rebore and a potential 100-120hp/litre output and a 9k rev limit  There are Turbocharged and supercharged versions putting out 4 figure outputs ! The Z32 almost had the VH45de as standard, before Nissan went for the VG.
  24. Happy Birthday Jim :duffer:
