  1. Si, you need to read up on the specifications for the Subwoofer you have. It will tell you the recommended Enclosure size and wether its recommended for a sealed or ported enclosure or either. Typically a 10" subwoofer requires an enclosure with 1 to 1.5 cubic feet of internal volume for optimum performance. Sealed boxes tend to be smaller than ported, and therefore betters suited for the space constraints of the 300zx boot.
  2. is that the ksport/D2 356mm kit ?
  3. You can reach Paul@SWZ on 07706586022 , contact me on if you cant get hold of him and I will see if I can.
  4. If I did'nt have a zed I'd consider an M3 as an alternative. I would'nt replace a zed with one though personally. Its not going to be that much more praticle than a zed though tbh and in some ways less praticle (saloon style boot instead of a hatch). The rear seat room is bigger than the zed but is still very much on the small side for a saloon/coupe of its size.
  5. Yep, all the Imports are in the tank (accessed via the boot)
  6. Sounds like it could be detonation to me. Does it sound like a metallic rattling that is more audible the more you floor it ? Not unlike some little screws being rattled in a Tin ?
  7. That would ruin the looks. Just do the rear brake light fog conversion like jap owners.
  8. ****ing sick !! Lets tie him up to starve to death and call it art instead ! Petition signed.
  9. CoupleA few possibilities : 1. Your Injectors, turbos and intercoolers are not stock and have been upgraded before you purchased car. 2. Your boost controller/boost gauge is very faulty 3. This is a windup.
  10. MS has done all the research and developemnt to produce his Manifolds. AMS have copied them and perhaps improved on them slightly (debateable) and so can charge less as it has'nt cost them as much in R&D. I personally would say you wont go wrong with either. Bit of a Morals issue perhaps..but that is how business works.
  11. Nice one Pete
  12. there has been quite a few threads in the past on these things on this forum (and every other car forum I expect)
  13. Search this forum for "venom injectors" do the same on http://www.300zxclub.com and http://www.twinturbo.net
  14. Welcome  Definatly shop around for insurance, it makes a big difference...some insurers sting you for Imports, others dont. One insurer can quote you £2500 and another will quote you £600 for the same car. All pre 93 cars Jap or UK have tweed panels and tweed or leather seats. 1993 onwards changed to either Leather seats with Suede panels or to Velour seats and Velour panels. It then changed back to Black tweed from 95 onwards. UK cars were available from 1989-1994 and Imports from 1989-2000. As said check for rust, an import that has'nt been in the UK long will look like brand new underneath, whereas most UK models are rotting away......thats not to say there are'nt some well cared for and/or restored UK models out there, and the same applies to uncared for Jap models that have been here most there life too. UK models limited to 2+2 Targa TT only. Jap models came in Twin Turbo and Normally aspirated - LWB(4 seater), SWB(2 seater) and Convertible(NA only). . Slicktop is the rare Hardtop version, and if your after a Targa model then no problems as nearly all Z32's are targa. £5k is a decent budget but test drive as many as you can before choosing one, there are big differences between an Excellent example, a good example and a bad example but unfortunatly there are far too many bad examples out there. Dont be afraid to ask questions, better to be well prepared before you purchase than to end up with a car that will cripple your bank balance shortly afterwards.
  15. No pics (not fitted them to my own car, just other peoples) , but there is a vid here
  16. no idea why the difference but some UK's have Pump under the chassis, others in the tank.
  17. I've ordered somewhere around £25k-30k of parts from the states in the past couple of years, nothing has gone missing but I have had a few damaged casualties, luckily everything was sent through at full price(had to be really...such large orders and it being purchased as Trade, customs are pretty hot on B2B transactions)...and even got parts of somebody else's order mixed in one of the boxes (customs not paying attention when they open it all up) lol I've gone for reduced value on stuff myself with stuff from ebay...etc though and been fine.
  18. Yeh, you dont tend to get Discounts from them. But if you reduce the value for customs, be aware that your screwed if anything gets lost or broken along the way!

  20. I've fitted several sets of the Premium peak/warning versions, all seems good. Coupld of issues though - they advertise as being able to fit in tandem, so you wire up one gauge for power and connect the others too it...but when fitted in a Pillar pod the connecting looms supplied are not long enough so you have to wire them all up individually anyway. other issue is that the peak/warning buzzer sounds everytime you turn on the ignition which can be a bit annoying. They seem ok quality and accurate, and look good.
