My new 8 pot brake setup:cry:

Any suggestions, when i try to refit wheels the calipers stop the wheel going back due to the inner dimension of the wheel

Will spacers not do the trick? :)

I have thought about this but worried about the wheels sticking out to far

and i have always thought they would put additional stress on the steering etc

Well i'm no expert, but i think that it would be ok, plenty of people have them :)

But if you look at the picture of my car imagine my wheels sticking out an extra 20mm:(

I am....

I'd go for 15mm and get some spacers for the rears. Bolt to hub spacers are good and you shouldn't have any problems. Plenty of the wide arch guys either use quality spacers or very wide wheels.

I have had to put 5mm spacers on the front of mine to clear my brembo calipers.

Dosen't seem to make any difference.

so if i fitted say 15mm spacers as Si says would i have to match the spacing @ the rear end??

looking at the design of your wheel I'm not surprised you need spacers!

You'll be ok adding a 15mm spacer, though might need to roll the front arches to stop them catching.

Only problem you might have is that depending on the design 15mm might not be enough. On mine, even after mounting I needed an extra 3mm to clear the valve as that stuck out the most on the inside

B***OCKS looks like i will have to revert back to the old ones for Japfest:cry: shame because the do look good

where can i get the arches done if req?

Looking at your sig pic I would say you have plenty of scope for some wheel spacers, they would improve the overall visual stance too.

Same set up brakes that I have just got fitted and no probs but then again mine are 19"s.Still only got 1/4" gap between 8 pots and wheel spoke.I am sticking 25mm bolt on spacers anyway when they arrive from USA. Just to bring wheels out more to match rears.

Been there a year ago, and the brakes are still on the floor beside me.

You could always change your wheels for some with a larger offset. My 18" Advans clear my big brake kit by about 40mm.

Well just spoke to John @ Wheels-uk and he is sending down spacers over nite:bow::dance:

So hopefully probs sorted:D

Your car gives me an automotive erection Vinz. Thankfully your dancing sig reverses the effect.

Personally i think your car will look better with an aggresive offset.

Thought about that, but i so love the wheels i have! took me ages to decide on to, but if push comes to shove may have to have gone down that route:(

Dont need to change your wheels though.

I am a bit thick enlighten me:confused:

offset is just how far the hubcentre is from the wheel,so bigger spacers would give more aggresive offset. I would buy a set of those spacers vince just posted above but youl have to sort out your arches. looking at your sig pic it seems as though your rear wheels are quite far out already but thats just by looking.

Ah got you!

Just ordered spacers but will not add them to the rears as you are correct they really are out as far as i would like;)

So if any body wants a set of 15mm spacers just for the front or back let me know:D
