I know I should already know this, but can someone tell me where exactly on the car the fuel pump is located please?

My zed is still not starting  and stuck on my drive in deep shingle , and I can barely see anything underneath (assuming the pump is under the car somewhere?)

Many thanks :(

inside the tank in the boot under a panel you remove ! unless its a UK car then its underneath !

Sorry Paul.. I should have said :slap:

It's a 1990 UK TT.

Thanks!!

Under where your spare wheel would be, i think its a triangular panel, unscrew that and you'll see the fuel pump on top of the fuel tank(actually sits flush at the top of the tank)

Mines a 93 uk tt, and my fuel pump can be acessed through the boot, the square(ish) panel is held on by 4 screws, unscrew them and the acess panel comes off and the pump can be removed.

just checked my manual, it must be a square panel as its 4 philips screws either corner.

I only removed mine last week so it says a lot for my memory.

I still have the fuel tank with pump from my old uk TT if you need them.

no idea why the difference but some UK's have Pump under the chassis, others in the tank.

mines a UK and the pump was in the tank.

Yep, all the Imports are in the tank (accessed via the boot)

I can see a poll coming on here: "Where your fuel pump located!" ;)

Anyway, before someone starts one, mine is in the tank accessed from the boot, and I have a 1991 UK TT.

Si.
