  1. Brake discs wont make much of a difference in braking performance. Pads can make a noticable difference, but the next step up is either a Big Brake disc conversion (larger disc, and a bracket to space the caliper out) or a proper big brake conversion including larger stiffer calipers. Im not sure the Ali or Cast offer improved braking between them in terms of braking performance. Ali is lighter but can apparantly build up too much heat and warp a disc quicker, whereas Cast is heavier but apparantly can offer better cooling to prevent brake disc warping.
  2. Purple --- Hand Brake Switch Orange --- Speed Sensor White --- Shift Lock (Auto Only) Red --- 12 Volt Blue --- Accessory Green --- Ign. "on" Black --- Earth You will need to feed the Orange wire to the speed wire on the ECU. There are ECU wiring diagrams on here somewhere. There should be a wiring diagram for the Ignition lock too as I cant remember the colours.
  3. hmmm...thats a lot of sensors to all go at once...I would suspect a fault with the Autobox wiring loom or the Autobox ECU itself.
  4. Looks alright. Wonder why "sirocco" and not "corrado"
  5. oppss , above ^^^ post was from me, using Paul's PC
  6. rear brakes are the same on all. Front brakes are slightly smaller up on an NA up to late 91 Suspension is the same except for spring rates and Rear Antiroll bar size Complete rear subframe and rear Diff is different as you've mentioned, and its a good idea to keep the NA rear for the lower weight, hicas removal and gearing. Gearboxes and propshafts are different, but fit both engines. NA gearbox will require NA clutch & flywheel but you can modifiy the bellhousing if you want to fit TT clutch/flywheel. You would need to weld on brackets for the Intercooler piping as the NA chassis is missing them. Fuel pump is different (easy swap) ECU is different (easy swap) EFI Wiring loom is different, you would need to fit a Electronic Boost controller.
  7. Well you basically removing all the parts of your own car (engine, suspension, transmission, interior, brakes..etc) and putting it in the new shell.
  8. Were going to see reshelling become increasingly popular from now on as more of them go to rust heaven. You could probably find a good Jap TT rolling shell for less from a breakers. I know that SWZ are breaking 4 currently (LWB and SWB, TT and NA) and get at least 1 or 2 new breakers every week. They get a lot of requests for rolling shells. Its a shame to see good shells taken to the scrap yard after they have been stripped when they could be put to good use.
  9. I really cant remember, but I hate it, it has no meaning and no relation to my name or anything to do with me...... but been using it for so long and I have'nt got a clue what to change it to.
  10. somebody should snap that up, I believe they were discontinued some time ago.
  11. :hyper:
  12. Impreza and 300zx use same calipers (for some of the years)

I've unfortunately seen plenty of "Rat" Z's :( Abused cars owned over the years by people who should'nt be owning them and they are part of the reason the general 300zx value is so low....at least they are slowly dissapearing to the graveyards.
  15. when - 17th May where - from south west to castle combe ? :D
  16. You cover both pieces with evo-stick leave it for at least 5 mins before putting them together. Its very strong stuff.
  17. Make sure you get the solvent version of evo-stik. The solvent-free version is no good.
  18. Although the reviews were similar to what everyone has said above..... I loved it !, one of my fav games !
  19. yes, but its still an unsual size and you will still need a union with a 5/8 thread and 3/8 push on. ;)
  20. I purchased some univeral low height runners like the ones in your link and fabriacted the mounts myself. I originally mounted by Cobra's to the stock runners but they sat too hight. They now sit really low.
  21. Fair play, although some people buy the 300zx for the same reason ;)
  22. 5/8 is an unusual size. You will need to try and get a 5/8 bsp to 3/8 push on union.
