  1. yes, but that included Lightweight flywheel too for that price. You can usually expect to pay £300-£500 for an uprated street clutch and £300-£500 for a lightweight flywheel on top, in the UK.
  2. Mark, are you 100% sure about the Nippon/XTD relation ? ....as it seems to be widely regarded that these are "ebay special" Chinese/Korean manufactured clutches. I've only ever seem then for sale on ebay and they sell for about £70 for a complete uprated clutch kit
  3. I prefer PSI, but its all personal preference.
  4. Awwww....noo, murt :( ok, fingers crossed for you that its nothing serious... No he did'nt decat. Still has the original 3 (UK) cats in place. It was a used cat-back exhaust....which as said would suggest oil in the exhaust from previous car, but im 99% sure the car it came of did not smoke. :( See you tomorrow murt if your bringing it over for Paul to look at?
  5. I looked into the XTD (and F1 racing) range of clutches when I was shopping for one a while back....and reviews were very...errr mixed. Some saying they have no issues.....but others reporting problems with Clutch slippage, Unbalanced flywheels causing juddering, rivits undoing and the clutch pads coming loose ! They are very cheap, but it seems you get what you pay for.
  6. I just use parcel2go.com . Wrap them and label them up individually, and they £9.99 each.
  7. Admittadly you have short listed one of the rarest combo's but they are out there. Slicktops are rare as a general rule, however Its not the colour or the Gearbox that makes it even rarer (there are just as Many manuals and Auto Z32's !), it would be the series 3 part....as series 3 car onwards are very rare anyway...let alone as slicktops. What was the reason for wanting s3 over a s2 ? A friend just got himself a Slicktop TT Manual in White last week, although it was a series 1, and SWZ have scrapped 2 slicktops this month !! (1x silver accident damaged and 1x red.....both series 1). I believe dunk300zxtt will have a 98 Silver Slicktop TT manual for sale soon !?
  8. Hey Stu. Email probs here too but sorted now and just sent reply. David
  9. who dat ?
  10. Could be fuel as Brain said, but if your running an "off the shelf" chip then with your setup its best to get it mapped properly anyway. I personally would'nt bother with a AFC. Cheapest option is to get the stock ECU mapped on a Rolling road by somebody like John Dixon, I believe john likes to use Thor. or go down the custom ECU route and rolling road mapped.
  11. opps....forgot all about this :(
  12. Looks like a good job pete. The Metro is just about one of my least favourite cars in the world though :lol . Probably becuase my mum has only ever had Metro's since her first new one in 1986 and she's on about her 5th or 6th now and wont buy anything else! :headvswal. It was one of the cars I learned to drive in and I detest everything about them
  13. The univeral ones just "fix" to your standard a-pillar, and rarely fit properly and look crap. The proper Z32 specific pods completely replace your standard A-piller trim ! and are made of the same or simlar finish to the original trim.
  14. no, you can launch better in a Manual. but its much easier (and consistent) to launch an auto. However you can put an Auto under load on the line to give you boost from a start but dont expect the standard autobox to last long doing that.
  15. the Matt and satin looks the same to me
  16. MJP would probably be your best bet. BTW you dont want 99spec, you want the standard pre 99spec OEM knob. They are the same except for the stitching colour.

  18. should have the 94-98 spoiler on then ;) I suspect it had the "no spoiler" option and somebody has since added it.
  19. Its a thread for members to list their business services to other forum members
  20. ahhh..did'nt realise it was the Konnexion one.
  21. LOL not copying, did'nt know about your panel. Was going to get the dash flocked, but trimmer suggested the retrim instead. The bit you've had done looks great, so Im looking forward to getting my dash back. :hyper:
  22. Found this on net Interesting. Would'nt want to risk those openings on a TT though
  23. hmmm...well. June - Lightweight flywheel - Uprated Clutch - one piece prop - gearbox with short shifter - Uprated oil cooler - Stainless steel decat and elbows - NA subframe - shotblasted and powdercoated, polybushed and refit it to the car with the NA 4.08 diff. - 99spec bumper, impul sideskrits and take it to bodyshop to get them and the recently smoothed tailgate painted - rear 4-point roll cage cut, welded, powerdercoated and fitted along with the seat harnesses. - wire up the new temp and pressure senders to my Profec E-01. - refit my alcantara retrimmed dashboard, and new leather armrests.
