  1. Yep, Nissan dealer is far cheaper than Zcentre for the perspex strip. No differences for Jap, UK, SWB or LWB. All the same.
  2. half way to left would indicate a vacumn leak...although the gauge is not very accurate. The gauge should be far over to the left.
  3. The majority of your clearance problems are because of the low aftermarket front bumper, rather than suspension height.
  4. 700mb is what most DVD rips will be, and quality is spot on imo. I connect my laptop up to my TV and watch films in the big screen, but I lose a little quality as my TV is not LCD or HD and I only use a s-video connection.
  5. My TT always returned 22-24mpg average, but would do over 30mpg on a long steady motorway run. Both my NA's were about the same overall too. In theory the NA is few mpg more economical in everyday driving, and a few mpg less economical on long motorway runs (higher final drive ratio - revs higher for same speed). If your flooring it everywhere then you expect figures to drop into the low teens.
  6. If you have a SWB then they have drain plug bolts in the bottom of the tank, otherwise I guess you could undo the pipe that comes from the fuel filter to to the balance bar and put the end into a container and crank it over, depends how much is in the tank now though as you would'nt want to be doing that for too long.
  7. You must download lots of dvd movies all day long ?
  8. Yep thats the one that it connects to the bottom of that black box that its next to.
  9. Sounds like they the vacuum feed has come off. It runs from the balance bar to little black box near the small fuse box in engine bay.
  10. I use "Broadband usage meter 2.0" by Rackeys I tend to use 2-3 GB a month btw, if I dont download any Movies. But I am online a fair amount, general surfing and some gaming. If I do download a Movie Torrent then a full movie is around 600mb (0.7GB)

  12. I barely ever come on here tbh, and if I do then I tend to just lurk in the background and never really post.
  13. Good job. The black powercoating looks great. Look forward to seeing it :)
  14. sorry to here, whats the damage on yours, might be better to not claim your car and fix yourself. Insurance companies love to right of zed's with only minimal damage.
  15. A Engine rebuild would be better than an 2nd hand engine replacement....but you have the weigh up the cost difference ofcourse. You could have 2 or 3 engine replacment jobs done for the cost of an engine rebuild job. Something to bear in mind. Ofcourse if your goal is a serious power hike, then rebuild is the only route to take, with Forged internals.
  16. To a Car enthusiast sure, but I stand by what i said - to non-car enthusiasts it just looks like an Audi TT which you see everywhere, so people dont tend to pay them any attention. Whereas the 300zx does'nt resemble anything else, so non-car enthusiasts will look...does'nt matter which looks better or which they prefer, something very different to the norm is what gets initial attention.
  17. The small fuse box in engine bay near the Brake Master cylinder. Its the last fuse on the end, closest to the engine.
  18. You can get Alarms wired up to work with a turbo timer, never looked into it myself as never used a Turbo Timer but I presume its to do with taking the power or sensor feed from the turbo timer output.
  19. Googled it and first review I found was'nt very positive - http://www.pcw.co.uk/personal-computer-world/hardware/2218620/review-ndrive-g800-sat-nav At the end of the day though its all about usability, and for that you can beat the Tom Tom. I've used quite a few others and they were crap in actual day to day use in comparison. Also you can use your Tom tom as MP3 player, and play pictures and videos, and they also have a built in FM modulation to play through stereo. See - http://www.mobilnova.com/MobilNova/en/ There are a lot of add-on products for Tom Toms that allow you to do all sorts of extras.
  20. R8 just looks like an Audi TT to non car enthusiasts
  21. Sh*t, sorry to hear. Wheel came of? - Unless it was'nt on properly they must of hit something :-S Hopefully its not as bad as that, fingers crossed for you.
  22. Very saddened to here. My thoughts go out to his Family and friends. R.I.P Colin
  23. Not sure on Partnumbers, but did you order from the states (LHD Loom) , versus your RHD loom ? If so, thats fine nothing to worry about. There are differences between NA, TT, Auto, Manual and certain later years though.
  24. oh right, the ones from Russ @ 300zxstyling before he disappeared ?
