  1. Looking at their Dyno leader board...reckon that will be mostly populated by Zed's afterwards :)
  2.
  3. Yeh has height and damper adjustment, but the height adjustment is not independent unlike more expensive coilovers. Which means as you adjust the height the springs become more compressed. If your interested in using the car on the track then I would take a look at the SPL Coilovers. http://www.splparts.com Higher spec, better quality and a good price. Very highly regarded in the states by a lot of regular track day users and SPL are the Masters of 300zx Racing.
  4. v-spec  where do they get this BS from.
  5. 330ci is a good second slower to 60 and slower the faster you go.....it would give an NA a good run for its money though.
  6. ok, fair enough now its been confirmed but its was was always been pretty conclussive if you've read up on it.
  7. The superstreets are softer than the Flex and other tein versions. They dont have independed height adjustment (height will affect spring rate) but other than that they are not bad for the road.
  8. Thats coz the speedo would normally be wrong if you had the right tyres but you've fixed it by fitting wrong tyres
  9. Confusing. I was under the impression 068 was the standard size replacement and is what most people must have. My battery is just 184cm x 79mm x 169mm and definatly not the right size for battery tray, so I dont even keep it in the engine bay lol
  10. May need to include the lip and/or curvature of the tyre..etc . Im not sure. Its not something I made up though lol, its just basic tyre terminology http://cheaptireguide.com/tire-section-width-and-sidewall-aspect-ratio/ http://www.tyresafe.org/news-and-events/detail/unscrambling-the-tyre-sidewall-symbol-mystery/ http://www.bankrate.com/brm/news/auto/20050630b1.asp http://www.tyres-online.co.uk/techinfo/aspect_ratio.asp http://www.farmerautocare.com/help_tyresize.php ..etc..etc
  11. and for those that didn't know - the original "Black" stig was Perry McCarthy.
  12. have you done an ECU check for error codes? Do the test once its out you into safety mode without turning the ignition all the way off.
  13. Front upper Camber Arms Front tension rod Arms Rear Camber Arms The front is more important than the rear as the rear has some adjustablity in it,depending on how low you go. If you fit Eibach springs, then you should'nt need the rear cambers arms, Eibachs drop by about 20mm, not as much as you want but they are great springs - Progressive (soak up small bumps and firm up when cornering hard) with really good spring rates and a great match for the KYB AGX shocks. Stillen adjustable ARB's are a great bit of kit, and include new bushes. As well as making the car corner much flatter they also allow you to adust understeer and oversteer characteristics. The Above setup will transform the car, it will feel a lot lighter and more chuckable with quicker reactions, more grip and a flatter cornering and ride quality wont suffer either. The KYB's are adjustble to suit your preferences from smoother than stock to the odd track day capability. Get yourself a set of Polyurethane steering rack bushes too.
  14. Speed sensor not working will cause autobox problems. It can be worth changing the oil if its not been done recently too, and drop the sump pan of the box and clean out the filter. If its an Import do you have a bigger autobox oil cooler fitted, if not, they really do need one.
  15. Just came across these, so updating thread
  16. btw 235/45/17 is the wrong tyre profile for a Zed, it should be 235/40/17
  17. I just popped outside and quickly measured a stock zed wheel - 245/45/16 and it came out at just over 10cm on my crappy kids 15cm ruler.
  18. At first glance I thought that was hideously ugly...but actually its growing on me. I quite like that.
  19. LOL That was adapted from a Bmw version I saw years back.
  20. Nice one, wont be long now then :) I had an accident once where I lost a wheel. I clipped a kerb on one of those island things in middle of road at just 45mph and the wheel snapped and came off! and I ended up down a ditch. Never did find the wheel or tyre, me and this policewomen looking for ages for it. All that was left was the centre part of the wheel were it bolted to the hub.
  21. no, it is the actual height of the sidewall as a percentage of the tyre width 235/45/17 sidewall height is 105.8mm (10.5cm)
  22. Its holds the gear to the rev limiter instead of changing earlier.
  23. confirmed/unconfirmed shows when they have read it, and if its sent to a mod it will always say unconfirmed
