  1. You need to discover exactly what has been removed ofcourse. Most likely the Compressor and bracket , condensor, Aircon radiator and pipework that connects it all together and that goes to the bulkhead.
  2. LOL S2000 driver was getting very sloppy. be sure to also check out the SPL and UAS track videos - 2 very impressively setup Zed's that are capable of beating much newer and more powerfull cars on the track !
  3. Next to nothing without MOT. Not sure how much with MOT, I was offered a very tidy Yellow VR6 Corrado with 120k miles for £600 about 6 months back...but I think that was very cheap at the time.
  4. lol no, enough room for both of them in there, but I can no longer open or close the garage door without it falling on me
  5. Those made in the latter part of 98 yes, Nissan started producing the 99 "spec" models at the end of 98.
  6. As Tulip says, even if there is an issue with the sign where is his proof that he hurt himself on it.
  7. hmm..just looks like a regular mustang, which is a very familiar car. They should of gone with something completely custom or more unique.
  8. How much in your experience would a model report typically cost to commission ? Its been discussed a lot before and the general concensous was that it would be too much for an individual to pay (£2-£3k with no guarantee of sucess) , and there wouldn't be the demand for a dealer to invest in it. So those that are after one have been waiting for the 10yr rule to apply to them.
  9. 1yr 9months is'nt that bad is it ?  Previously it was finding the time that was holding me back, and currently its finances :( She drives. Engine in, Manual conversion done, NA rear end done, Interior done and all the new mods fitted. Car been put on hold until I find new job though :( ........some good prospects lined up and hoping to be back in fulltime work this month, then the car can pay a visit to the bodyshop :)
  10. Garage door hinge needs somebody handy with a welder :(
  11. Yeh, we are waiting on the 10yr rule, as you can't SVA the 300zx (no model report).
  12. Thats what i was thinking.
  13. :headvswal :slap:  Still hoping to have it ready for japfest.........................2008  FFS........ 2009 !!!!!!!! :headvswal:cry:
  14. Technically the 99spec production would of started in 98 so you should now be able to import and register one. The problem is that apparntly they are still very expensive in Japan, so no importers are going to bring them over. More expensive than a newer 350z
  15. I think somebody has unsuccessfully tried to break into my Z :mad: Not really been near it in a week, but today when taking snow pics I discovered damage to my B-pillar, near the top before it meets the roof. Very strange place to find damage there, and there is no reason for anybody to go anywhere near the car. Its parked in my own yard area behind a gate. Then I find some marks on my door trim that I had'nt seen before. I reckon somebody has damaged the B-pillar trying to lever somethng in between the window to open the car from the inside. The window was also not fully up, maybe 5mm lower than it should be,perhaps pushing down from levering on it.. :(
  16. For reference - Tiff Needle and Jason plato were racing a Mini cooper S and VW Sirocco gt around Castle Combe last night on Fith gear, and got both cars around in 1min 35secs !
  17. A lot do, with 18yr old worn suspension, far to many still running around on the original shocks, springs, bushings fitted when new. I've driven many standard examples that feel big, heavy, lazy and soft becuase of the suspension condition and they would of put me of them for life if I did'nt know what one in good mechanical condition felt like in comparison. But tbh the 300zx often gets this stigma...most of it stems from the old Z31 which was a boat but the Z32 was a completely new car and had some of the most advanced suspension design of its time (full multilink setup) and it holds its own against comparable cars. Im sure they are also claiming its too big and heavy too - despite it being smaller and the same weight or lighter than a Supra, Skyline, M3, 911 ...etc it was built to compete against the best porsches of the time - the 944 turbo and 928....both of which it beats on the track. I would'nt waste my time argueing with others tbh, been there done it. People are mindlessly ignorant when it comes to others car choices. How many of these people have actually driven a 300zx I wonder.....or is it all my brothers mates, dads, cousin had one and he said it handled shit  or they've probably been in some £1500 shitter. There is also a difference in the way a SWB and Slicktop handle compared to a LWB for example. The LWB being more of a heavier GT car. Uprated suspension makes a big transformation on all models though.# SPL Time attack 300zx and UAS 300zx Slot car eat more powerful tuned Porsche 911 GT2's/GT3's around the track for example !
  18. if thats RWHP then as far as I know it is currently the most powerful in UK
  19. Bin it, its no great loss LOL
