  1. There is'nt any need for an access panel to gain access to the turbo area. Everything can be reached from above or below. Turbo's can even be removed without engine removal, its just easier to pull the engine.
  2. Hard to say, diff camera's, diff lighting ...etc
  3. I cant see the point personally, plus I think the chassis leg rails is in the way anyway. Turbo replacement isn't a frequent event, once replaced you should be good for another 80-120k miles.....which is another 15-20 years with average zed mileage. Plus it would'nt make turbo replacement a significantly quicker event anyway. Even if the chassis frame rail is not in the way and you have a decent access panel you would still have to remove wheels, brakes, hubs and suspension arms to get to it, whereas an engine can be pulled in a few hours anyway.
  4. That was close.
  5. Welcome
  6. Nice one, I love driving a zed before and after manual conversion, its such a positive difference :) The start of your Retrim looks great
  7. The standard rad has a pathetic built in oil cooler. Even if you stick to the stock rad then its a very good idea to fit a bigger autobox cooler. A 13 row 235mm oil cooler is ideal for the Autobox A 19 row 235mm oil cooler is ideal for the Engine oil You fit them in on the radiator support bracket under the nose panel, and extend or replace the existing rubber oil pipes to reach. The UK model has larger oil coolers because they are used to higher more sustained motorway speeds which require extra cooling. The stock viscous is fine with an Aftermarket radiator, no reason to change it. Change the waterpump too (unless you have evidence of it recently being changed), and replace all the engine cooling hoses, its when these perish from the engine bay heat that causes problems. If you do replace the thermostat and waterpump then make sure you replace the two top rubber hoses that sit under the cambelt covers that connect the metal water hardpipes to the block instead of reusing them, a very common place for leaks to occur. Dont buy a Nismo thermostat of ebay, most of the "nismo" stuff on there are cheap fakes.
  8. If the biting point moved then you may have a leaking master or slave. They wont be leaking externally, but leaking internally past their seals. The gearbox fliud top up is on the side of the box, drivers side. 1/2" fitment to undo. Drain plug is on bottom.
  9. got a pic ? The monoflex are there better coilovers, below that you have the Flex and then the superstreet. There are also various other older versions RA, HA ..etc
  10. Very much saddened to hear. My thoughts go out to you Vini and his friends and family.
  11. Whereabouts is your clutch biting point ? Have you checked the fliud level ?
  12. £300 is a bit steep. But yeh its no different to any other RWD car to do. To get to the top gearbox bolts undo the 6 bolts on the mount at the back of the gearbox so the rear drops (undo the gearstick linkage first or you will damage the rubber gearstick mount), then loosen the engine subframe bolts (but dont remove) and you will be able to access the top bellhousing gearbox bolts much easier, either by reaching up from the side or by using a series of ratchet extensions to reach from the back of the box to the front. oh and Support the box before undoing the last bolt...it hurts if it falls on you lol A clutch alignment tool is handy, but you can do it by eye.
  13. As far as Im aware the forum/club does not allow Garage traders anymore, your bet best it to do as Kim Suggests, subcribe and have your details added to the services thread.
  14. what sort of zed
  15. That does change things, it probably shouldn't but it does. Its like when you hear about a Male teacher screwing his 14yr female Pupil ....and I think Sick ******* taking advantage of young girl, but then you hear about a Female teacher screwing her 14yr old male pupil and I think lucky *******
  16. They are the alloy calipers, which came in fitment for either 28mm discs (NA) or 30mm discs (TT). I would contact Mike at MJP http://www.mjpauto.com , they are a club authorised Nissan Parts dealer, much cheaper than standard Nissan dealerships and knows Z's like the back of his hand.
  17. Give Allan some credit...he was holding his fingers 51mm apart !
  18. Different caliper options - 1989-1992 NA Alloy Calipers 1989-1993 TT Alloy Calipers 1993> Iron Calipers
  19. SWZ has sold a few front ends like that, there is a complete car with the front cutoff like that in the workshop now. Im gonna buy it and weld it to the front of the my citroen
  20. sex and pregnancy at 13 is far from unheard off... but he looks about 8
  21. Welcome and Congrats on the Purchase
  22. Allows him to get away with 1 instead of 2 dump valves.
  23. Have set of quite a few of these. Its not very exciting lol
  24. Only the U.S market got the control panel, and they had actuators on both the front and back shocks. I dont know why Nissan UK bothered with it.
  25. Paul, leave it with me, I'll knock one up for you in the shed over the weekend, and only charge you mates rates...lets say £1 mill.
