  1. The pods have different neo wedge bases, systematically take each one out in turn and order accordingly, some positions are taller iirc. The cluster is 501 bulbs or T10.
  2. Just try this, indicate but do it with the low beam on, anything happens ?
  3. Yes both could work perfectly, I still it's fouling, have you tried it when it's dangling loose ? Another thing to add, your hazards work without the key don't forget.
  4. Check your hazard switch, I think it's fouling on the pod housing, so not fully engaging of disengaging.
  5. If you carry on at this rate Marty, the engine itself will be next to go !!!!
  6. They are a bit nasty those front two studs, you do have to be careful, I put a folded towel there, one of the wife’s best white ones as well ?.
  7. Be careful when you tap the cogs ‘home’, the plastic carcass could be brittle and may crack if you’re heavy handed. Using a long reach socket helps, plenty of grease is good also once installed.
  8. Mods please remove all traces of that email, I have made contact, thank you.
  9. I have the winfactory one, it’s spot on and tidy, my advice would be get one.
  10. Think you’ll have to, a moderator will remove it if you wish after I’ve read.
  11. You don't need remove the bumper, you've to go inside the arch liner for one bolt or nut, inside the corner lens for another, 2 more inside near the air filter, it's doable.
  12. I can supply the 2 clear lenses that are identical pattern to the red, you silicone these on the insert and just need trimming slightly, the 2 extra small lenses to place at the orange bulb and the 12 black stripes, these are just a fraction long for application purposes, so trim once in situ. £27.50 delivered..
  13. You will never create the same look without great expense, I'd just stick with the oem charcoal 89 insert, there's nothing wrong with them.
  14. Carmad has some, don't forget his, fit is not too bad either, cannot vouch or discredit the others. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/99-Spec-Style-Headlight-Inserts-to-fit-Nissan-300ZX-Head-Light/352768582243?hash=item5222a56263:g:2pgAAOSwWkddZFI2
  15. I believe this request is resolved.
  16. Not on a convertible but done it on my swb, easy enough job.
  17. I'd centralise using the light reflector for certainly the Turbo decal. I always think just the UK NISSAN part is thrown too far left, just pin it and step back and again use the reflector as reference, how does it look ?.
  18. I've seen many conversions over the years and the black orange lens seating points are not whitened off, they are clearly visible ffs through the lens, I used tippex fyi. It is all about keeping things clean on the bench, the messier your hands are for instance it just transfers everywhere, you also want a clean split. I wouldn't use chrome paint as it fades to very matt, I was using chrome wrap in the end but this was time consuming, better to use a silver spray. like a simple car wheel silver. This is half the reason I don't slave away anymore, buying genuine cannot be beaten, although mine were incredibly similar, don't mind saying myself !!! The lens is pretty much perfect isn't it ?.
  19. I like the idea of the insulation tape as a guide, I always did it freehand. Petrol is what you need to clean off the black sealant, perhaps the mechanics wipes will also work. You jump though and we don't see how you attached the white or clear lenses to the inserts, you must use something flexible. Looks good though, now get them fitted ?.
  20. I know what that needs, some spats Richard.
  21. I always used hot glue for a near immediate fix when assembling, I then backed it up with flexible silicone. You can get tinting spray for the lenses. From memory you could of just used clear lenses, the black carcass spraying was enough to give the darker look. Good work and informative video, next make some sequential !!!
  22. Come on !! You'll have to make a video or show me a link of those rears in action ?.
