Unfortunately no highlights last year, just a lot of realisations the zed won't be on the road for a while. Hopefully by the end of this year some progress will be made.

Seems to be lots of big orders lately going to conceptz. Good Times for our zeds getting all this extra attention..

Few more goodies ordered today from SpecialityZ, New clutch and flywheel, Injectors and a new aluminium engine shield. Need to get the engine block down to the machine shop today and see whats needed on it.

Part of my latest order was getting new freeze plugs so today i removed the old ones to reveal some inner rust. The whole block will be getting dipped and cleaned so i think it will clean fairly easily.

I was a twat when i built the last one - again. When I transplanted the polished plenum from the previous build i didnt check inside it thoroughly. It contained fragments of the previous blown engine when then got sucked into the new build.

I had a wee surprise delivery from a Fedex van today and honestly wasn't expecting this for another week. Ordered from concept last week for my engine rebuild. Only thing that is missing is new pistons and rods; which after i get the bottom end checked, cleaned and honed i will look at.

lol, When i read the start of the thread title; first thing i thought was another poor zed getting broken for parts.

And my Turbos are back. 3 day turn around for them to be rebuilt and sent back.

Turbos on there way back to me from Midland and I'm nearly £400 lighter.

Why not make the AGM an online video conference. I'm happy to host the system to do it.

Going to order new pistons and rods so going up a notch isnt that bad. The current pistons i'm going to write off or sell to anyone who wants them cheap.

Found a local engine place i can take it to get the block properly checked. I'll see if i can get a price for a complete clean, cylinder bore and paint job.

So just out in the garage with my new honing tool and just as i go to do this cylinder i notice these huge scores. I'm guessing i either need to get a new block or get these professionally done larger then get pistons to match. Whats everyone thoughts ? The grooves that are clearly visible can be felt with my nail as i rub them across the surface.

Just cleaned the block myself and degreased everything. New honing tool arrived so i'll give the cylinders a scrape shortly too.

Nothing new done today but i bit of news from Midland Turbos who now have my turbos. They are rebuilding them again at a cost of £185 per turbo with new bearings and then a re balancing. Also just dropped a £1K order into conceptz to start my engine build off in a few weeks.
