  1. However after the 4th run we lost a lot of power and the driver side turbo started to smoke. After this thinks just got worse as it went on until we just stopped the session
  2. After the initial double checking and tightening of some bolts the first run went great as shown in this video 2023-08-28 10.20.16.mp4 At this point all was going great and the engine was smooth and sounding great.
  3. So another small update on my engine and tuning sessions. Got the trailer loaded Sunday and headed off to Dyna Tune on Monday morning for a 9am start. After hooking everything up we were ready for close to 10am
  4. Just shit turbos i think. Should have known to buy new than rebuild and old set.
  5. Took my Zed to get tuned and we think we blew a turbo. Yeh, that happened today !
  6. Also getting fairly proficient at reversing trailers up the drive. Few years ago this would usually take 5 or 6 attempts. Recording 2023-08-27 150113.mp4
  7. Has a weird power steering issue today when trying to load my zed onto the trailer. Every time i made a hard left or right turn the engine stalled. Not sure if the belt is on too tight but on checking the PAS Pot the fluid in there didn't look nice so i took the front bumper off and drained the pipes of what i could. Quick refill and refit the bumper and all was well again and it never happened again. Not sure if the fluid was contaminated or had an airlock but it feels better now. Recording 2023-08-27 145334.mp4
  8. Happy Birthday Ian
  9. Small walk about today. 20230826_165254.mp4
  10. Had a small coolant leak too which resulted in loosing about 1/2 a litre on the floor so let it cool down, After i could handle the pipes I tightened everything up and we are good to go again. Engine now up to temperature and a slight rattle from the upper left but should be ok after the oil is run through for a bit. 2023-08-26 15.39.20.mp4
  11. Learned how to do timing with a Link G4+ Learning curve but got there in the end, actually easier to do as you don't need to touch the CAS.
  12. Update on this, taken exhaust pipes back off and dropped them at a local welder to put some new ports on. Moved position closer to drive shaft and pointing up.
  13. Not kidding, The supplier i purchased my original ECU from over 5 years ago cocked up someone elses order and sent it to me. Likely about 2K in Parts. I've contacted Link via another supplier to check the serial number on the ECU and now i'm awaiting instructions. Shame its for a S13, what a waste as i could have upgraded mine to the latest model.
  14. Next job to do is get the wideband sensors moved. As you can see below they are far too low. I'm thinking about moving them into the void between the gearbox and driveshaft. Near where the hanger is on the below picture :
  15. She's Alive ! ECU Loom issue now resolved and also managed to tighten the belts. Still needs properly tuned so not about to go start revving it or anything. Next date for the diary is the 28th when i take it back up to DynaTune. 2023-08-09 17.08.31.mp4
  16. Brother came round and assisted me on tightening them up. Issue now resolved.
  17. Topped up the coolant and bought some new battery tie rods as the oem ones were too short for my new battery. Also need to jack the car up again today and remove the exhaust as the lambda sensor mounts are wrong. The location that's been drilled for them is way too low.
  18. He's a great guy, diagnosed the fault very quickly. However had to take it back home to figure out what the issue was by tracing the fault. After it was home I managed to trace and fix it. Now I just need to book it in with him again.
  19. Fixed my Injector issue and now moving onto very squeaky belts. I have tried to tighten and slacken them but they are like a scream from the deepest darkest chasm of hell. How do i sort them ?
  20. I was but by the time i replied i had already done what you suggested and fixed the issue.
  21. Its just a bad placement of the pin by the manufacturer. I have taken a few pictures and emailed them about the issue but i'm not paying to send it back over 5mm of space to move a pin.
  22. Dont need to fully remove the loom, just need to release the pin 115 and swap it over to pin 114 where it should be.
  23. Pondering to remove the loom now, but to do that i need to remove part of the dash.
  24. Why does shit like this always happen to me. Wiring Specialties have royally screwed the build of the loom and mixed up the pinout to Injector 6. Tracing it back i get the Injector Socket 6 (Pin 1) going to Pin 115 on the ECU which is for the 'O2 Sensor Ground' The correct port should be 114 according to the ECU pin guide below. Getting 12v coming in on pin 115 also scares me as that says it a ground connection. I have emailed the manufacturer to see what they say but i think the full loom needs to be sent back to be fixed.
  25. Also the small test lamp which was real handy. 2023-08-08 10.38.21.mp4
