  1. Yeh, Its the only part of the zed that's not been polished yet as ive had them at home.
  2. So final corner pieces of my targas arrived today so I finally managed to get them back together. One thing to not if anyone decides to dismantle these take not in the order they come to bits ! Surprisingly shiny glass !
  3. After my interior rebuild today I had this exact problem, but mine was caused by the steering column just been generally free from the top mound for the last six months. After all the time its worked its way loose and the spline moved up by an inch. After loosing the bolts we finally got it back in place but it took two of us to move the damn thing.
  4. Day one of interior rebuild and managed to get the inner loom in, added all the aircon parts and hooked up the new engine loom so I could secure the cable from the inside of the bulk head. Then Finally got the carpet refitted too.
  5. What series is it ? if it's a series 3/4 then the support bars bolts are higher up. could be the steering column been replaced by an older series hence it's further up as you say. not sure about a shorty being shorter as say but I do know the bolt holes on my series 4 are closer to the drivers sitting position compared to older ones.
  6. If anything I think this year everyone's upping there game ! Seems to be a good year for zed rebuilds, could it be because the 25th anniversary ?, or a year where folk actually have cash to spend. Or is the fact that a few of us have created new build threads that its influencing the rest and giving inspiration. Good things come to those who zed. lol
  7. The interior is just a shell so its a full rebuild. Wiring loom, Blower, Heater Matrix, Cooler, Aircon Pipes, All Dash supports, Dash, Front Dash panels, Door Trims, room trims, carpet, seats, quarter glass trims and everything to the rear. So a few days might just be enough; I hope.
  8. Next week is a big week for my zed as I plan to hopefully rebuild the complete interior. I've got Monday, Wednesday and Friday off next week so will have some fresh pics all next week.
  9. Cam covers getting prepped and will be done the same colour as the zed : Then we put her to bed for the weekend with a dust cover !
  10. Few pics from Friday showing the front 99 spec bumper :
  11. Got the same on mine and removed them after I decated my zed. As you suggest they are cat sensors.
  12. Bought my zed three years ago and it had a horrible veil side kit attached. Was daily driver for two years then took it off the road for its full rebuild below :
  13. Double Punch yourself in the face while trying to pull undo a bolt with a not so tight spanner!
  14. Its nothing fancy to be honest, ive just inserted three relays between all the main ignition cables. It means that if someone was to try and hot wire the car or tamper with it by stripping the ignition harness they wouldn't get it running. The trigger wires need 12v to operate and they are hidden higher up and within the original loom.
  15. All I can say I've added a wee bit of a DIY immobiliser that cant be seen or tampered with from under the dash. And it makes a kinda cool clicking sound when activated; however the time the immobiliser is triggered and you enter the car you've lost that effect, lol.
  16. In the dash area, yes. Key is the colour of the cables and thickness.
  17. Just finished soldering my custom loom which will be fitted back into my new zed. Without me going into too much detail can anyone work out exactly what I'm doing ? The clue is the area of the loom which I have changed.
  18. That's cool, You can see the shadow of the plane in clouds but that hue must be created by a wing light or something. I was thinking it was a reflection of the sun but the shadow proves that sun is on the other side of the plane.
  19. Yeh, but if i can get away with not using a cooler i will ! Seen a few coolers but there fairly large and the nice small ones are too expensive.
  20. That's what I was thinking of doing ! Does anyone know the diameter of hose and type required to replace this pipe ?
  21. Not long after I posted this I was thinking the same thing. so an after market cooler should do the trick and just run rubber hoses both ends. see a few jaguar pas coolers that could do the trick.
  22. The easy route would be to put a new rubber pipe in to the below area; tie wrap it to the sway bar and then back up into the pas pot !
