Holy crap, how clean?
- So a year and a bit with my current zed
Has been pretty uneventful really. its one of the best zeds ive ever owned in all honesty. and yesterday i took her for a MOT on a day that seemed nothing was going to go right and she passed. And only a few advisories this time, although last time she went through fine. just silly little things that i should of sorted before she went really. but on wards for another year of zedage.- It's raining inside my car........
Quick update, having been raining all day, i had a small few drips, but nothing like the raging torrent i had, so although the reposition worked, its not done fully, suppose it will be second hand job while i use the summer months to get some new.- Yo!
She certainly came a long way from when you turned up at mine, sad to see you selling up bud. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?137210-Vodkashots-amp-Pablitos-Zed-adventure&highlight=Pablito- It's raining inside my car........
Id imaging they have been stuck down with something or they are only going to be doing half a job, at the moment ive had a bit of a fettle and just waiting on the rain to come and see if indeed i still have a targa leak, signs are looking good, i still have a few drops making it through on the drivers side, so more playing might be in order, other wise ill try a second hand set. if that fails, looks like ill be going the new route as well. really hoping the warmer weather gets here soon though, i have a very soggy carpet that needs drying out :(- Anyone know this 300zx?
just waiting on a reply, told my friend to ask for photos of the sills as well an engine bay picture.- Anyone know this 300zx?
yep, i got cruise control on my factory manual lwb- Anyone know this 300zx?
lol naa thats cool, i like it too, except those lambo lights (not that i can complain much as mine are pretty similar lol) - - - Updated - - - Doh, good point LOL- Anyone know this 300zx?
a mate is looking at buying this, but its bit of a distance and wants to make sure about things first, ive had a look in the forsale section, but cant see it, so not even sure if the owner is on the forum, if they are and registered, i will remove the link, but any advice if anyone knows anything about it, would be nice. unsure on if its turbo or not http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181301560541?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2648- It's raining inside my car........
Posh git lol, though im thinking of going for a pond liner, and filter set up, get some lilly-pads in there.- 02 sensor question
Ill check the connections but its a new wiring loom, ok its off my old blue zed, but the connections were spotless when i stuck it on around 8 months ago. worth a check anyway as ill be testing the injectors.- 02 sensor question
Mine was really bad before i took it too Noz, was over fulling horribly, the remap sorted that out to a degree, but hasn't completely eliminated it on hard acceleration. i have my MOT on the 5th of feb, so was hoping to figure out what was going on, what Ohms are the injectors supposed to be at? i have nizmo 555's by the way.- 02 sensor question
just to clarify, the black smoke on foot down is a lot better than it was before the remap, its just that its still doing it, you can also smell its overfueling, im hoping replacing the O2's will at least manage that final bit of overfueling from the ECU side of things.- 02 sensor question
in fairness it should of been sorted when it was mapped last year bud, and im sure nos would of picked up on injectors if that was the case while mapping it on the dyno???- 02 sensor question
Had the car remapped last year by Nos, but its still kicking crap loads of black smoke when you stick your foot down and so obviously over fueling still, but i have one 02 sensor thats working and the other that isnt, so was wondering if anyone has used these o2 sensors? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCEDES-BENZ-NISSAN-BMW-CHEVROLET-CHRYSLER-3-WIRE-WIRES-O2-OXYGEN-LAMBDA-SENSOR-/181129659634?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ANissan|Model%3A300+ZX&hash=item2a2c2b44f2 and how good they work, although they are cheap so might just get some and see, cant be worse than what ive got at the present moment in time lol- It's raining inside my car........
No where near as much, it pretty much pours in when driving in the rain, its terrible. the koi pond isnt as full as i thought it would be, the rain must of been quite light last night, when you get a major down pour, ill grab a photo then, already had to kick a bunch of pikeys out of it for using it as a swimming pool when its really bad.- It's raining inside my car........
My koi pond My water inlets. Front Water inlets, rear. yes the front one isnt seated correctly, but believe it or not, as it is like that, is how it lets in the least amount of water. The rear as you can see, is leaking right at the join of the targa seal and rear end of the door seal, so not sure how to even get that to seal up any more, its like that on both drivers and passenger side.- It's raining inside my car........
the bin bag actually collects the water very well, the issue comes when driving, its a constant drip and if you break, then it just covers the right hand pod as the water then seems to just pour in. its like the targa rubber is water logged. i think i actually have a small pond at the moment as it rained last night, ill grab a photo and show you how ive got it set up to collect the water, one sec.- It's raining inside my car........
I have tried absolutely everything and still my roof leaks, its that bad that ive had to use plastic bin bags on the seats to catch the water, and if you get a heavy down pour, you need to empty the bag of water the next day or it will drain into the car, its shocking just how much water that bag catches, id dread to think how much water is sloshing around in the carpet that i haven't managed to get via the bag route, or how bad it would actually be at the moment if i do not use the bags. ive found 3 locations where it leaks. The rear seal as the targa seal meets the door seal at the rear of the door, and the front join between the targa and the A Piller, and a new one is the bolts on the targa glass its self, where the release mech is bolted to the glass, this is now leaking on the passenger side. I have tried jeffTT's fix of sticking the rubber back down, but it seems that the metal is just too slippery for the silicon sealant to even grip on to, when it does grip, the edges still lift, i moved the seal via the holding screws at the edges in a bit to put more pressure onto the seals when they touch each other, hoping the added pressure would help seal, but still leaks, i then tried taking the seals off, giving them a wash in the sink (they were dirty as hell, well the water was after), put them back on, sealed them again using sealant and they still leaked, but even worse this time. i even took the door card off and adjusted the window so it pulls in tighter as the window comes up to full. Nothing so far has sorted the issue out, its like the rubber is water soaked, if i squeeze it between my fingers, its like ringing out a cloth, it just leaks water. i think my seals have positively had it and are no longer water resistant any more. Its actually driving me mental.- galaxy s4 repair cost?
If the screen flashes, then that will be the LCD not the digitizer, you can buy one and repair your self by striping the phone down, use a hair dryer and a Stanley blade to separate the LCD from the digitizer (if you haven't cracked the digitizer that is) be patient with it and gentle or you will end up damaging the digitizer as well, the new LCD should come with its own adhesive strips to glue it back into place, or the other option is, getting the LCD/ Digitizer complete assembly and then all you have to do is change the circuit board over on the back of the screen. Pretty simple and straight forward in all honesty, ive repaired loads of them. Anyway. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.XSamsung+galaxy+S4+LCD&_nkw=Samsung+galaxy+S4+LCD&_sacat=0&_from=R40- Where to buy components for Electrical repairs
Tried them already, seems its a pain in the ass component, found one on amazon, bit better priced. *EDIT* yay, no shipping to the UK though. doh! Other wise, considering the costs involved, it would just be easier to buy a working power board from ebay at £35 lol- Where to buy components for Electrical repairs
- Where to buy components for Electrical repairs
Used to be able to get some decent components around, but now it seems that if you want to repair anything on a componant level, then the only option is buying from the US and paying extortionate import charges. Ive tried maplins and ive also tried RScomponents but no one seems to stock the part i need to fix a bloody plasma screen. A friend recently had a Panasonic viera plasma screen, blow its two internal 8Amp fuses, this usually means there is a short on the board, so first step was taking the back off and testing the usual suspects, the Diode bridge tested perfectly fine, so i changed the fuses, this then gave me power to the board and made life a bit easier in narrowing down what the issue might be, well found there is a open circuit in the thermal fuse resistor, a part that seems to only be available in the US, now that's not usually a issue, how ever the part in question only costs around $1, shipping how ever, seems to be a bit hit and miss, ranging from £12, to a whopping £35, this part isn't even that big either (about the size of your big toe nail) So, does anyone know where i can get this components in the UK, ive searched google till im blue in the face, but only seem able to find websites that say they are a UK one, but are shipping from the US. Or does anyone work repairing electrical items and has one of these? - So a year and a bit with my current zed
