well you quoted me and gave a that reply, im trying to see what in my quote is saying i want to go head to head at pod with him about, i dont mind if he wants, i like a good ol race up the track.

If you had read what i put, you would understand that i said about leaving those comments to places such as barry boys I wasnt saying people were bashing like that on here, even though it has happened in the past, i was giving a general warning to our members that, bashing like that will not be tolerated on our forum, Yes have a different opinion but please don't be an ass about it. that's what i was getting at. Ive seen it way to many times on other forums, and even facebook pages, that those with Stock cars, some how think they are more "Elite" than someone who has modified their car to make it look different.

No there is a vast difference between someone saying "I don't like those wheels" and "it looks like glittery shit" isn't there, im sure you will agree on that. A lot of people class their 300zx as part of the family and when someone basically bashes it - im not on about showing a difference of opinion as in "i don't like those wheels" but a general attack on the car its self, people take that very personally indeed as it feels like an attack on them. Now last time i checked, we are all supposed to be adults on this, and as adults we know that things said, can hurt each other, if we are on this forum for the same reason, why be an ass about it? seriously? why a personal attack? Yes have a different opinion, but on here, don't be an ass about it. Not that hard a concept to understand, leave that sort of stuff for other websites like barry's boys.

the internet is not freedom of speech as much as what rules certain sites allow, like we do not condone and will not tolerate talk of copy-write infringement / Porn sites ect: and any posts like that WILL be removed. So yes, in one way you are correct in saying you are free to speak it, but you should also be aware that this site is run for our members and we WILL remove posts and people if we feel the well being of this forum is being effected. That includes excessive bashing of members cars. they put a photo up to show off their "Pride and joy" just like anyone else, and should not feel that they can not JUST because it doesn't conform to someone else's tastes, shame some people do not know how to word "Its not to my tastes" a bit better.

Personally i find it disgusting people bashing another members car in the way they do on barry's boys, now i know this was not done on this forum, it was done off forum but the link was posted here for some reaction, especially with the thread title. Its fine to have a different opinion on what you do not like / like, but why do it in a hurtful sometimes brutal way?, this isn't like standing in front of someone and bashing while having the bonus of facial expressions, this is in text on a forum where you can happily read what you type before posting, regardless if You dislike what someone has done, how about commenting in a tactful way rather than a bashing the living shit and cause as much pain as possible, these cars are peoples pride and joy's, with a lot of money and sometimes a lot of effort put in to even keep it on the road. Now dont get me wrong, ive shared a comment or two before on these very pages about some horrible sights in the zed world, most of it is pure banter, I never set out to cause offence, especially when its a members car on here, but some people do like to take things too far, so id advice all members to just take a bit of time and think before posting.

This is a general warning for those in the south of England, looks like we might get hit with gale force winds up to 80mph, might be an idea if you park your zed out side, to leave it well away from tree's or area's likely to flood, we have a high precipitation chance for Sunday night / Monday. Id hate to see a post of someones car being crushed by an up routed tree, 80mph winds are strong enough to cause that, especially mixed with heavy rain that would saturate the ground leaving it in prime condition for a tree to be up routed.

In that case then, hope you can find them, i also have a few places around here good with sheet metal work, if you do manage to find them, ill look into seeing if anyone local can replicate them That would be fantastic.

So basically what people are trying to say is, that apart from MJP and getting it imported in, the other 2 options is, hope the body shop that does the repair is dab handy at fabricating the panel or at least being able to weld a half decent attempt on, or sell / split the car for parts as cant get it fixed. Be nice to know the actual price from MJP, but as i said, ive asked before, once on his selling page and once on the phone and it all got rather confusing as to what the complete price would be. which is no good when i have to actually budget for these parts.

id still prefer to actually just replace it rather than attempt to fit the old stuff back on in any sort of way. id most likely just end up with the same issue i have now later on down the line.

I tried MJP last time, but honestly no disrespect to the guy, i couldn't seem to get a direct answer as to the costs. i got told plenty of times that they would take a while to get in as they were coming from japan, but from what i did manage to understand, it would of cost me the best part of a replacement car, and that was before fitting and painting. So im still none the wise as to if he knew what i was on about, from what other people have said its equates to around £150 per side, yet this was no where near the price quoted by MJP iirc. so not sure where people are getting their parts or prices from. Surely those who have already had this done, should know, but people seem to be staying quite on the matter. would rather fix the car when it comes to it, rather than having to break and sell due to rotten sills.

id rather try and get the same texture / color if i could, was wondering if anyone has actually retrimmed it and what with, and did it match the rest of the interior?

Bump, had no reply from the Ebay guy, does anyone know where to get these panels from? id like to actually get these pretty soon if possible. just need drivers side as that seems to of taken all the punishment over the years and i have rather bad bubbling on the drivers side arch id like to get sorted out.

whats the best stuff to recover the targa trim with, although mine was actually in pretty good condition when i got the car, its now sagging and coming away, id like to renew this or at least recover it so as to not look nasty, but whats the best stuff that matches the interior?

Im the same, i resorted to using electrical tape along the roof edge as im fed up with either my pillar gauge pod filling up, my arm getting wet where the drips come from the targa, or the door trim getting soaked, not to mention the massive puddle i have on my drivers seat where the bin bag is that ive put there to collect what ever drips in the car. Think i might just have to knuckle down and get some new roof seals, these ones are not sealing worth a pile of crap.

was around a fellow members house, trying to help diagnose a cylinder out. Checked spark, there is a spark, checked coil pack, the coil pack is fine, checked basically everything, when doing the screw driver test on the injector, you cant here it, the spark plug is dry and not wet, even changed spark plugs with a known working one, changed the coil packs with a known working one, it makes no difference if the coil pack is plugged in or not, the cylinder isnt firing, i checked for corrosion on the injector plug, but its clean, infact really clean lol, and checked the wires. Only thing i couldnt check was a signal to the injector wire and the injector its self. only the ear test. So how do you check the cable / injector with it in the car. im assuming the wire is just a case of checking with a meter, but what about the injector its self?

tilt steering? he might need to get that checked lol
