Car acting odd after being parked over night

Car acting odd after being parked over night
Yep using the Conzults adapter, cant get it to accept the code for the software though, i do have the trial software i can use, but doesn't give me much functionality, i have had a few mins to Ohm's test the injectors, all the injectors are between 12.7 and 14 resistance, but non out by more than 1 ohm, injector 6 is 12.8 Ohm (not much room to get the prongs on injector 5 lol), are there any cables / connections under the passenger seat that if wet will cause issues in the engine? the ECU area is dry as a bone, but the carpet behind the passenger seat is quite soggy from all the rain and the inlet of water ive been battling. Im using version 1.51 of the ODB scantech software, id do have a genuine Consults with code letter and everything, looks very old and came with my old blue zed.

Car acting odd after being parked over night
Yes a service is on the list, they are working, but looks like they are leaking oil, could be the black plastic stuff on the back, but still replacements sound good right about now. This issue is getting stranger by the day i think, sorted out the MAF, car now drives, still have hesitation issues, idle is lumpy again now, did a error check on the ECU, had code 31, code 34 code 51 (ECM fault, knock sensor, injector circuit) then a load of codes in the 1000's that didn't make any sense with no description, the moment i cleared the codes, it gave me a fresh batch of them, around 8 in total all different, thinking the engine loom had slipped or moved or something and was melting on the turbo i had a quick check, nothing there, took the ECU out undid the cover and checked the insides, all looks very nice and clean in there, no water, no burnt patches, nothing out of the ordinary, plugged the ECU back in, tried to connect to it, couldn't connect, when i eventually managed to talk to the ECU, again had the same thing with the fault codes, random high error codes likes 1023, 1101 mixed in with normal codes, codes 31, code 34 and code 51, as if things all over the engine were failing. could this actually be my ECU crapping out? None of the codes generated illuminated the check engine light.

Ok so got leaky vtc solinoids and still have hesitation issues

Car acting odd after being parked over night
the symptoms are very random on a dying MAF i have to say lol

Car acting odd after being parked over night
Failed MAF was the issue, JJP popped over and kindly lent me his MAF, car now works as intended, although there is a slight miss, but i had the ECU unplugged, so going to see if it clears up, if not, time to chase the slight miss, car doesn't hesitate now though, and it goes above 2500 revs

I'm hoping its one of those faults that just develops for the hell of it, then once you have had a good look over everything, it magically solves it self and you are left wonder what the hell happened lol

Car acting odd after being parked over night
Checked that, its surprisingly dry, unless the MAF has actually failed, but that doesnt account for what felt like a dropped cylinder surely? although ive had to down tools now, one because of light, 2 because there is a old peoples home opposite and i doubt they will appreciate me trying to rev my car passed 2500 to test it, i reseated the connection on the ECU and had a fiddle with a few of the wires that run to the traction control, that seems to have sorted the rough idle out, but now i have the MAF issue.

Car acting odd after being parked over night
The down side is, its a Nismo 555 injector if its gone, just been out to the car got it idling better, but now wont rev past 2500, so maf knackered? EDIT

Car acting odd after being parked over night
Struggling to figure it out, unless this is a symptom of water ingress, its been raining the last couple of days and i do have a leaky targa, the drain tubes i sorted last year, but other than that, im lost on this one. just odd how it came on so suddenly over night.

cylinder test results Looks like something is effecting cylinders 2, 4 and 6 or im getting it the wrong way round and its 1 3 and 5 that are being effected

Car acting odd after being parked over night
Ok, got a very strange issue, the other day i gave it a little bit of beans, after coming off the gas, i had a pop out the rear of the exhaust and the car ran like it had just 5 cylinders, i gave it a quick rev and it was back to normal and driving lovely and was all the way up till parking it up last night. This morning id decided to get the laptop out and check error codes to see if there was anything on there, started the engine and the idle is lumpy as hell, i have no smoke coming out of the exhausts, the engine temp is fine, but there is a noticeable shake to the car now, took it for a quick spin to see if it would sort its self, but had to come home as it was hesitating, didn't seem like it wanted to go and on idle again running rather rough. Things i have checked. ECU connection where the traction control is installed in case of wire issues, but everything is fine. Checked all connections in the Engine bay including, coil packs, VTC connections, injectors, CAS, temp sensors, PTU (series 2 by the way) and all fuses in the engine bay. Ive checked all vac lines, all intake couplings, the MAF connections to the intake system, and the intercooler pipes im at a loss as to what it could be.

Replacment arch and sill panels
Im still waiting a reply from him :/
-
Probably heard this 1000's of times
Well before the year is out, i need to get my drivers side arch and may as well get the sill done while im there, the bubbling on the rear arch is now starting to crack the paint so needs to be done sooner rather than later, the sill may as well get done at the same time, as it makes sense to not go back and have to redo a very close area, passenger side strangely has no rust bubbles at all.

The way this is going, we need to source at least one set to get a copy made, then the originals can go back and a copy of the copy can be made, at this rate, people will just scrap the cars as they cant get the replacement panels to do the job properly, id imagine getting a garage to fabricate the sills / arches and inners is going to add a few £££ to the repair bill already.

2 questions, BOV's and Boost
I have GT525 turbos, if i remove the dump valves completely (dont have a set of recircs) would my turbos be able to handle the extra strain when they stall as the butterfly closes? Second question. My after market boost gauge, is now reading just 10psi on full boost, nothing has changed, no settings have been fiddled with and the car still feels like its boosting at 18psi, yet the gauge is now showing a max of 10 instead on full boost ? There is no det sensor wired up, so cant see how it would be in safety mode, though i will check engine codes just to make sure.

Just the one set i presume? would be helpful if we could get that set to someone to make copies from.

replacement rear arch
a whole rear quarter to replace just the arch, damn, mine is bubbling as well so will need replacing, i asked this question a while ago, and although i had someone state a ebay name, i never had a reply back, seems the arch and side skirt panels are no where to be found now, which is a real shame.

Experienced driver fail
I have race logic traction control in mine, wonderful bit of kit and certainly helps you out, i do like the larger margin for error it gives, especially considering my kids are in mine.

AT gearbox question
I agree with bri on this, I have never understood why people want to join a thread, not to answer the question, but to tell the person where to look or how to search for the answer when the thread has already been started, and the person replying, could of easily just answered the question. It took no more time to tell someone to google the answer, than it would have to just reply with the correct answer, as the thread is already here, considering ive been around a few people not very savvy in the ways of the world wide web, google can be a scary place with a lot of misinformation, same goes for forums, not everyone joining a forum, is well keyed on how to use one properly IE: the search function (if it actually gives you the search results you want in the first place). Also, you say that you get better results on google than here, well surely that should encourage you to reply with the best answer here, thus giving anyone who does want to search, a better result when they do search, and adding to the knowledge base.
