  1. Exactly the same as me mate, apart from the beer and take away part. but diet was always my struggle, never knew what was the best thing to eat to supplement a work out.
  2. I miss the days in the army, had a good figure then lol, didnt care about getting my shirt off and the ladies loved it, Since then......well lol thats why im doing insanity hahaha
  3. yes mate, im reluctant to stick the photos of me up with no top on, especially coming up to dinner time, but lets just say there are some parts of me id like to either turn to muscle, or at least disappear If at the end of these 2 months, its a lot better, then ill do a before and after set. Not looking forward too it, but determined non the less, so will carry on.
  4. Did you actually see results though? apart from aching like a mofo for the rest of the day?
  5. I thought that too and i only did the pre fitness test lol, that was only 20mins long with 2 min breaks between work outs, might just do a week of pre fitness test dvd, then crack on with the main lot once i feel a little more "fit" lol Naa, ill just crack on with the main set tomorrow and see how much of a heap on the floor i am after, Please note though, you need space and do not attempt it with a light fixture dangling over head.
  6. Mines working fine :D
  7. lol that will be for me, Daffy i dont mind that if i have the definition i dont have at the moment lol Toolbox, i know mate, it might even take me longer than the planned 2 months as i am actually more unfit than i realised, not fun when you get your ass handed too you by a DVD dude. But im determined to do it as i need to improve my fitness and want to actually get back my muscle tone i had when i was in the army. (that was a fair while ago lol)
  8. thats my mate mark lol, i was taking the photos at that stage, but 3 of us working on the old girl as mark and my mate paul were both hanging from a night on the drink
  9. Yeah it was 2.0lt turbo diesel, had that stupid bracket on it that needs removing to get the gearbox off, but also covers one of the bolts that helps keep the gearbox attached to the damn engine, you cant remove the bracket as the studs on the end are too long, ended up just angle grinding through it, it only held the dust plate on to the engine, went back on fine and still able to use the "hook" end as the spacer for the gearbox bolt. complete pain in the rear that thing is.
  10. thanks matey, was a good 2 days grafting on it, the cracks are sorted but there is still some area's that need looking at properly, so this isnt actually finished yet, but as my mate is now on his holiday for 2 weeks, had to do something as hate driving around with a fillered sanded bumper and no spray on it. so for now, its just undercoat and top coat, but will be going back for another weekend to finish it off properly

  12. Well around a week ago now i lent my dad my 300zx, told him not to crash the damn thing, while his car was off the road with a gear box issue. So, i fix his gearbox (had no frigging oil in it, a bearing on his diff had managed to slip so was replaced, new clutch, new oil and replaced back onto the car and now working perfectly, last time i do any work on a 307 thats for sure, especially gearbox related lol Anyway, pulls up out side his while i was putting his car back together, he has only gone and drove the bloody thing into a curb as he didn't realise how low it was, cracking my genuine veilside bumper in two places , ok i was a tad p'eed but then i forgot to warn him, and as he isnt used to driving it, was the risk i took really. So spent the weekend with a few mates fixing it. Cracks widened and cut out Nice chaps at a local body shop, lent us some fiber glass paste, which is awesome stuff and i might just grab a tin. So filled in the cracks and sanded them down and sanded them down Then filler to smooth off the rest, followed by more sanding. Plastic primer and matching paint code later, its not finished yet as there are still some area's that need going back over, but looks a damn sight better than mahoosive cracks all over the front. certainly could now benefit from a trip to the spray shop though.
  13. haha you do not know just how encouraging it is to actually have someone say that, its a killer work out, i doubt im going to be able to do all the work out in one go to start with, but im going to keep at it, push as hard as i physically can on each exorcise, i am certainly no spring chicken at the moment lets put it that way, but just hoping its going to be well worth it in the end, most of the work outs last 45 mins, the one i did today was just 20min and it kicked my ass lol.
  14. OMG, started it today, 20min fitness test was the order of the day, i haven't exorcized in a while and thought it was time to do something about the extra pounds, I tend to float between 12 stone and 15 stone, never getting any lighter and never getting any bigger, always between 12 and 15, i have good legs already, but i have a spare tire i wanted to get rid of. its been doing my head in for a while and as im now almost 3 months with out a single real ciggy, eating healthier i thought id give the insanity program a go. Well what can i say, im now aching in area's i didn't know existed. I pushed as hard as i could, just like he says in the DVD's, hopefully my fitness levels will return, but going to stick with it for the 60 days, if it works ill post some before and after photos. Just need to get over the mental block and carrying on with it each day, its nice to have someone on the DVD encouraging you though as i do not have a fitness buddy here. Ill up date this thread with my progress, might encourage more to take up the challenge lol
  15. if you have the blades on show, can you not use that to your advantage and move the blades while the magnet is also on the socket, might free it, other wise it sounds like turbo off and apart job if its wedged in there, unless you just try getting the metal coat hanger on it and shifting it that way, just be careful not to damage the turbines.
  16. I used a magnet on a wire coat hanger, had the same problem when i dropped a 1/4 inch 10mm socket head down my turbo. Helps with the wire coat hanger as you need to keep the magnet from the sides of the turbo or you get stuck before getting near it.

The problem is guys, you are new, you havent seen what has gone on before, I have pretty much kept out of all of this due to one reason, Hollowpoint / Mrs hollowpoint (cant quite tell what person was actually using the account as they are together), seems to have a problem with how this forum is ran and a few personal issues with a few of the moderating team, they also seem to have a issue with the rules laid out by this club, and makes that very clear on any posts either moderators or committee comment in, usually as a slight dig, narky reply, we have bitten our tongue on many occasion, what you guys might see as banter, actually comes across as digs, and we get it quite often from a few people who have had a run in with the rules before, But instead of thinking about said replies, they just blurt it out, stick a smiley on the end and try passing it off as banter, yet you can see the undertone especially with how its worded and aimed at committee / moderators in general, rather than just basic random banter Now the issue with the "other" forum and "interforum relationships", we all love the z32, we love to do shows, we love to have meets and we love to get our members fully involved, now most of the members on said other forum, are banned members from here, the rest tend to use both forums and are getting (just like me) a tad bit pissed off with all the bickering going on from a select few (mainly banned members) Now, im not sure how everyone expects us to do 2 diplomatic things in one course, on the one hand we have a duty to protect our members, hence why some people end up banned, but then we also get moaned at for not sorting out inter forum relationships, we have tried addressing one aspect of that area with the perm ban appeal system that is now in place, this was a rather large leap towards getting back to having 2 forums working together for the sake of the z32, but we can not do that when we have people who seem to have a problem with how they "think" our club should be ran, and we can not just say "aah fook it" and start planning things with banned members, all because we own the same car, they are banned for a reason, some due to ripping other members off, others for other reasons (each reason is available in the ban log), but the point is, the other forum is set up and ran by previously banned members, who want to moan and stick posts up, purely on a bash and point scoring mission over on said other forum. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, just like fans of a football ground, they are entitled to voice how they expect their club to be ran, but as arsenal fans have found out, that's Ultimately up to the management, we might not get everything right 100% of the time, but we are pretty damn close, we are also a lot more lenient, than a lot of other car forums out there and despite the occasional hic up, we run a pretty damn good forum here. Just a shame that a few want to try and spoil the atmosphere for others. Im closing this thread now, if any subscribed member has issues with the points ive raised here, please feel free to PM me.
  18. My disks almost have the vains wiped clean off them, but they are still ok and do not need replacing any time soon, there is no big lip on them either.
  19. 3 more days and its dead line day for tickets guys, just remember you can still pay on the gate, but save your self £10 (might need it for fuel lol)
  20. in the film pain and gain. even seen in the trailer at 1:30 SEQ8jyvmYtw
  21. Only zeds on the stand? since when? lol we have had toyota Mr2 mrk3 and a R35 with us before in the past unless this is a new rule ive not been told about. In all honesty, as long as we fill the space and its a jap car, i have no issues with other non 300zx's camping with us, especially the boys from zclub.net if they are coming along as well, or we are going to have issues with getting 240z's on the stand.
  22. yep has to be a jap vehicle, you can only park on the club stand with the weekend ticket, they will not let you park on the club stand with just a day ticket regardless the make of the vehicle.
  23. Your stand pass is the JAE all weekend ticket, as you will not be able to get your car in with just a day ticket, FINAL DAY TO GET ADVANCED TICKETS IS 1st of September. Although the club usually gets the tickets in, i think this year it doesnt make sense and is just easier to go through JAE's website above, rather than give us the cash, us then ordering them, then when they get to us, we ship them to you, adding an extra step into the mix. Make more sense for you to order your ticket through them and get it direct to your own door or place you that you wish. Please note: If you miss the September the 1st, to order your ticket, you can still buy a weekend ticket on the gate, but will be priced at the higher rate of £35 instead of £25.
  24. 11 weeks for me wednesday
