  1. Right, decided to bite the bullet and get over my phobia of doing a ECU check (yes i know very strange but for some reason it made me feel ill about doing it?) Im showing codes 11 and 21 11 is crank angle sensor / wiring harness 21 is ignition circuit, or PTU / wiring harness fault Sooo..... now what ? lol
  2. Drilling it out to be honest it pretty much what its going to take I'm afraid. need to get your self a decent drill bit to tackle it, just take your time and you will do it eventually. then just use bolts and nuts to do them up with.
  3. Is it lack of spark on all plugs? or just the odd few, could be Coil pack related
  4. lol yeah i know that feeling, im just hoping my hesitation issue is crappy fuel as it only started doing it after i filled up?
  5. Congrats matey, they will both be fine, my daughter was born weighting just 4lbs 3oz, she was in a incubator as well for a while, and the doctors were worried she was too small to cope. which is strange as my Mrs gave natural birth, but she was early too. the nurses are a lot better equipped to deal with this sort of thing now so don't worry your self too much, everything will be fine.
  6. tbh its not that straight forward on a Zed, most get put off with having to lift the balance bar to get to cylinders 5 and 6 at the back.
  7. Now its working, bring it round mine need to test your maf on my car see if that's my problem with some strange hesitation issue i have lol
  8. car was fine before i parked it up, and it didn't go anywhere in the wet or rain for it to get splashed up there. id did rain while the car was sitting with the bonnet open, but it didn't rain enough to get the air filter wet as i managed to close it in time. already check that one. Also does it worse when its either warmed up. or when i go over bumps in the road
  9. Ill let you know once i find out what my engine problem is, as i still cant rule out the Air filter yet, lol
  10. That's the same one as is on my car i do believe.
  11. Not really sure you can call that a zed, doesn't even have a z32 engine in it, or gear box. and apart from some panels, doesn't look like our beloved car.
  12. i think its Nissan cherry red lol, Tbh i don't know what red it is. as id love to get the Zed in that same color, i know my Zed is close, but its still not right (and my Zed is cherry red) its a lovely color and matched with the cream leather interior it had. another reason i now how the zed I've got. love the color. looked even better in the flesh the pictures make the car looks squashed. it had the sports suspension option as well, so it was slightly lower than standard. but just a bitch to get parts for.
  13. pug 406 2liter turbo executive model, rare due to them only making them for 2 years. had the petrol 150bhp engine in that they used to put in the 406sri, but it had all the leather int, climate control, Full closure as standard on the factory alarm with key pad immobiliser and did over 670 miles to a full tank, better breaks than the Sri, better exhaust note. and was just a really good cruising car, it was so comfortable..
  14. Well they said it was going to be a scorcher of a summer with heat waves and all sorts, admittedly it was hot for the world cup but that was about it, lets not forget that famous cock up with weather about no hurricane force winds hitting the south coast? lol
  15. hmm so the splash guard was emptying the water into the filter? ooh hang on you said about sunny days lol OK scrap that idea. you got me stumped...
  16. Wish i could weld, I've done spot welding before, but that was just for work and wasn't very venturing with the welder or the boss would of gone mad. but would love to be able to do that baldy. your a legend mate. car looks like its coming along nicely, always surprising how much rust ends up INside the car.
  17. It might of involved paint but it doesn't necessarily mean the filter got coated with paint. more like the sanding process ready for the paint job, created fine particles of dust which clogged the filter so it wasn't getting the flow of air it needed.
  18. they are part of the EGR system, and its a system that can be eliminated, not sure how hard it would be to do with the engine in, but it was a pain in the arse trying to get it off my knackered engine with it out the car.
  19. damn it the 99spec is now sprayed up and its too dark to go fit it. though I'm really thinking about just charging the searchlight up and going and doing it anyway
  20. You only go blind when playing with the twig and berry's if you accidentally shoot your self in the eye with your pea shooter. Thank god for being able to touch type....
  21. Next time you want to find something you have posted. easiest way is, click your name in the "users online" section at the bottom of the index screen, then click statistics, and then click "Find all threads started by......" and hunt through there until you find it. That took me about 30seconds to find and post :whistling:
