My ECU check
Well, going to change the PTU over for a known good one so see if that helps as i have a spare, if that fails going to do the CAS and see if that solves it. other wise its change the Coil packs over and the sparks, also change the temp sensor for a known working one as well, god its a good job i have a spare zed for all this lol, other wise i could be chasing ghosts. Strange how its still doing it even though the ECU is showing code 55 all clear? I have my ConZults cable through now, but annoyingly i have a modern laptop with no Com port on it aarrrggghh, anyone tried using a Com to usb converter and getting success?

99spec front bumper
Door gaps are nice, even changed the wing recently on the drivers side. and made it fit where the old one was. took a bit of time and positioning, but managed to get it exactly where the old one sat. i could but then id have a gap at the head light rubber where it meets the bumper. If i changed my headlights for the ones i my breaker, did away with the front fogs, and used my Halos for the side lights, i could get away with removing the fog housing, would just need to fill the holes with some fog ducts. Manta are you the one with the transit cossy? where did you get your front grill mesh from? as i need to put some in mouth hole and the intercooler duct holes as well, but would much like the finer stuff, than the chicken wire most people go for.

Older Zed anyone?
Same Yowser, would happily swap a z32 for a very nice 240z, lovely looking car, not too keen on the 260 and definitely wouldn't have 280, i wouldn't say no to a z31 either

My ECU check
So no one has any ideas then? :(

Wire Loom
No issues, just a longer bit of wire that heads to the ECU.

99spec front bumper
It was fitted with out them in, but the housing could be slightly different... When this weather clears up ill be taking the bumper back off and having a ganders. hoping to get it fitted nicely, ill do some step by steps, luckily i have a spare bar on my breaker. so if this fails, i can always use the one it actually fitted with. just want to sort the problem out as if i don't have a extra one to help out.

99spec front bumper
I haven't put the hat bolts on yet, as all it will do is pull the polyurethane up and not actually close the gap, so need to trim some plastic off those fog housings then try again. cant do that at the moment though, as its raining...... grrr, i hate this weather sometimes.

99spec front bumper
I have a strange feeling the Fog housing is slightly different on the JDM compared to the UK spec. it fitted on nicely on the UK, but it seems as groover has said, its catching on the outter fog housing

Bracket missing from this pic?
I hate that, when some bugger steals your car and leaves the engine there still.....:mad2:

99spec front bumper
Black one is a UK spec, new one is a JDM, I've loosened and moved the fog bar up slightly this helped with the drivers side fitment, but not the passenger side. going to take it off and just shave some of the plastic housing from around the fog ducts with my angle grinder. then see lol

99spec front bumper
Might give it some lube then, but yeah strange how it would do that considering it didn't when i put it on my Black TT. bloody thing you would think being a genuine it would slot on ok. Thanks Sandy

99spec front bumper
You do know that my 99spec front bumper is a genuine yeah? polyurethane and flexible and not some cheap knock off from ebay. Just ask Car.mad hes just taken a copy of it so he can reproduce them, if it was a fake I'm sure he would of noticed.

99spec front bumper
Been trying to figure out why my 99spec front wont fit on my new zed, I've tried for the life of me to get a snug fit up at the wings. I've modded the inter-cooler ducts and even removed the polystyrene that was on the nudge bar, and removed the front fog lights, but i just cant seem to get it to sit flush with the wings for some reason? I didn't have this problem with my black zed when i put it on that. and apart from a under tray that its not catching on, that's the only difference. Am i missing something here?

Problems with paisley freight
Right, trying to book something in to send, been trying since saturday, i click on the item i want to send, fill in the collection details, and the delivery details. then head to the paying section. i put in my card details, then when i click the payment i get the bank security box up. i fill that out and click the continue button, only for it to sit there thinking for a while and then refuse it based on non payment. Has anyone had this recently? more than enough funds are in the account for the transaction, and i can still use my card in the shops on chip and pin, and still draw money out of the bank, I've even gone and bought something i didn't even need from another website to check and im now waiting delivery lol So anyone else having a problem with paisley freight at the moment?

From what i can tell, there is a parachute on the rear to help it stop, and a hoofing spoiler for downforce. might not look pretty but i bet its needed.

Richard don't worry your self I'm sure its something stupidly simple. the engine isn't knocking, no smoking from the turbos, and the body work doesn't have any rust. so as far as I'm concerned, although it seems like a lot of things have gone wrong, i just call it a set back, there really isn't anything major wrong so that's the main thing. **touch wood** I am being extra careful is all so it might sound worse than what it is, due to the fact I'm describing it in great detail to get the best possible help back. She runs fine, holds her temp, oil temp is good. and i have a spare car that i know is good for parts, i just need to track down whats causing it, find out why, then fix as appropriate. Only problem with hesitation issues, is that it can be caused by a number of things, including but not limited too, - Cas - PTU - MAF - Water temperature sensor - Coil packs - Injectors - vacuum hose's - Bad fuel and a lot more, so you see, its not as bad as it sounds, its just the tediousness of trying to check everything to see if its any one of the many things that go into making this such a great car run so smooth. I'm sure ill find it, I've already started my search, i have back tracked over what i did, and am now starting to eliminate things. Once I've found out what the cause was / is, ill put a solution up for anyone else who happens to suffer the same. It could even cure its self once i fill her up again. I'm just waiting to use as much in the tank as possible with out scrapping the crap out of the tank and trying a different garage, make sure that fuel is not the problem before i start taking things apart and changing things. i might not have to yet.
