woth would you buy
fable 3 lol though you could always get some nice chrome rings for the dials, or 35 gets you a good LED pod mod from groover, or £40 for one headlight with halo conversion from me, or 2 black front wings, with some change left over, or i have loads of things i could sell you off my breaker for £40, but would depend on what you want lol

Too good to break!!
Unfortunately you have hit the nail on the head. they are worth more in parts than as a whole once something goes wrong with it. i suppose it would really depend on the overall condition of the car as to whether or not it would require fixing or breaking. Take my Black zed for example, to look its OK, it has its flaws but that's what you would expect for a 20 year old car. although it was a project car. costs to get her on the road and then sell on, fell short of what i could expect to actually strip and sell as spares. if i repaired then sold, id actually lose money. and i think that's what it boils down too. Unless you plan on keeping it once its fixed, then yes repair would be the better option, but if you have had enough of the car and want it gone, then either sell it as spares or repairs and take a hit, or sell as parts and make some cash back on it so you don't feel so bad lol

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
it drives fine, there is no damage to the sub frame, rear suspension, or wheels, its just that tiny corner area. let me get the rear bumper off, get some photos up and see what Boldy thinks. id like his opinion on it as i trust him. Pab i would contact Andy, but i have a spare car in the garage with all the panels i need to fix her. no point spending out cash on parts i already have just because of the paint color. the car needs a respray anyway mate. Only thing I'm missing is my left exhaust back box.

watching alien
What i like is the very good use of models and sets, rather than heavy CGI graphics. the ships look more real than that of the ones in the New starwars (just as a comparison) bloody hell stellaz didn't know i was one year older than you. thought you were 35 lol

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
Nope, its covered for 3500, but not agreed, so will be book price. what ever that is. i have no idea about claiming on insurance as I've never had to before.... if i claim then the car becomes there's, i haven't seen any thing in the insurance this time with lynbrook to say about buy back options, which is strange as it had that on the silver and the black zed. i want to repair not replace. might be more ball ache than its worth, but I'm fed up with fixing cars for them to bugger off on me.

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
I hope so mate, i think there is some hidden damage under the bumper, but im hoping its not too bad, i know the insurance will right her off if i ring them, but they also have the self repair part of the policy to consider. so depending what the damage is like tomorrow once i can see the full picture, will depend if i ring them up or not.

adding friends
To add a picture to your profile i believe you need to be subscribed, not sure about friends but i think its the same, but if not. Find the person your trying to add, go to there profile page, just under the box where the friends are shown, will be the clicky "befriend blah blah blah" click that, it will take you to another screen that will ask if you want to send a email reminder that someone is trying to add them, click yes and now wait for them to realise that someone wants to add them as a friend.

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
Hi ya dave, ill be changing the bumper tomorrow, sorting out the exhausts so there semi straight and i might pop over, biggest problem i have is getting power down to the car to do anything. i can get the parts i need off my breaker to repair it, damage depending, but i cant weld for crap. so even if i manage to get the panels i need to repair off the car. sticking them on, im going to be stumped lol

Thanks guys for the support, still hasn't sunk in yet. just didn't expect to happen at such a slow and steady drive, i think that's the worse part about it.

its just a insert, looks good though, going to have to redo that now, much to the Mrs pleasure at seeing me put car parts in the oven lol
-
ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
Please mate, not sure if i want to bloody cry, laugh or what at the moment, think shock is finally sinking in. But yeah, i think my saying of everything on theses cars can be fixed is helping. also been looking over stellaZ post of his M3 so all is not lost to be honest. If i talk to Lynbrook about it, i can get up to £500 to cover for parts as im willing to fix it my self. just wish i could bloody weld lol

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
my feelings at the moment mate are this. Peed off that it happened at such a low speed when i wasn't pushing her. Upset that my Mrs and baby boy were in the car as it scared the crap out of my Mrs, didn't effect my little boy though who was safe in his child seat, so glad i put the UK rear seat belts in now instead of the lap belts. Not sure about the car yet as i don't think it has sunk in properly, when it happened, i didn't freak out, i didn't have the shakes, in fact i was surprised that i didn't really worry too much about it at the time, i remember saying "aah shit" when i knew it was going to hit the barrier, so turned the wheel to minimise the damage down the passenger side were my Mrs and little boy was. I have a rear brake light from my breaker to go on, but its not going to fit until i get that panel sorted out as the major damage is pushing into the light housing. i have a veilside rear bumper to go on that just needs a respray, i think the only part that will most likely need replacing or some major repair work is the body and the exhaust.

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
any chance i can entice you down matey? would like to get a opinion on it, everything looks straight. only the little crumple near the fuel filler cap. but wont know until i get that rear bumper off.
-
ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
Well i turned the wheel so the rear quarter panel took the hit. but in hind sight, i should of left it as the side of the car is a bigger area to absorb impact damage, and probably would of got away with just scrape marks. ill get the bumper off tomorrow and have a better inspection of the area of damage, we all know about hidden areas, I've check though and cant see any thing other than the panel damage that's is visible on the out side of the car. even the fuel tank took a hit from the exhaust but that's superficial, it hasn't punctured it. just a small dent. luckily there really isn't that much to the back end of a zed and the chassis starts quite high up the back

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
Good thing though is no one else was involved, speed was low as well, but its such a heavy car that any impact is going to cause dents. shame the panel isn't a bolt off job. cant see there being any structural damage. exhaust / bumper and that tiny area took the brunt of a 30mph collision. got a rear bumper in the garage i got off shrek to go on. so that's good. not sure they would be able to pull that dent matey, hell didn't even damage the central reservation barrier, just left a nice streak of red paint on it. I have to admit though its one sturdy bloody car if that's all the damage it took. that's my first ever accident as well, but I've come away feeling more confident in the cars ability to protect the occupants, didn't feel the hit just heard it.
-
ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
Should be able to, whats peed me off though is i wasn't doing anything stupid, i wasn't flooring it, i wasn't racing, i was just driving it along at 50, as its a hill had my foot slightly on the accelerator to so the car wasn't slowing down, but just keeping it at 50. next thing rev needle moved like i had floored it, there was just no grip, then the back end started to move out, so i went to correct with opposite steer. the back came back, id lifted my foot from the accelerator, then the back went the opposite way and spun the car as too much momentum and no grip. got a feeling the stiff suspension doesn't help at all.

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
New side exit mongoose system, pipes took the damage, rear box is still straight, but pipes have snapped half way around the join had a look from inside the boot, none of the interior panels are crumpled, this is the view from behind the rear bumper Slight crumple at the fuel cap. I have another rear bumper i can put on to get the back end looking slightly reasonable. but looks like I'm going to need a whole new rear quarter panel welding on. luckily i have my breaker to get the bit off i need. only thing is i cant weld to save my life.
