which bumper?
the EC1 looks ok, but reminds me of a abflug type 4, just not to keen on where the indicators are. the one on there at the moment is nice as its completely different to what is about and what is common on most peoples car. but ultimately its up to you matey. if you think its time for a change who am i to argue other wise. always work to what you like and not what others think.

will a TT autobox fit in an NA auto
Hi bud, the boxes will fit each other, but some remodeling of the bell housing is needed i do believe, not much but is do able. I had to remove your reference to selling as only subscribed members are allowed to sell. sorry about this, if you would like to sell anything, the subscription fee of £20 for the year is well worth it. and you get the ability to edit your posts. and PM people, as well as access to the subscribed members section.

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
going to take mad max up on the offer, its bare metal anyway so welding a few bits to it to pull it back into shape as best i can, would most likely be the best option at the moment, then filling in the rest with body filler and getting the shape back, i cant remove the rear tail light at the moment as the metal is clamping it down. Personally annoying as it is to have a grizzly dent in the damn car. i think i was pretty lucky to stay way from anything major to the integrity of the car.

only if your not going to be mounting the engine wiring harness to it. as these are the mounting points for the brackets that hold the harness around the side of the engine. via 2 10mm screws.

ffs *Bumper off UPDATE*
thought id get a video as I'm getting mixed reports with the panel damage, some people are thinking its a lot worse than it actually is. also thought id tidy up the back end a bit, so after i got into day, i got straight on it (damn winter light) So first up is video Next up is test fit of the bumper yes color is wrong, but its to cover up parts that are exposed to the elements more than for looks, until i get around to sorting out the color on it. hand tightened on the drivers side, lose on the damaged side. This is the best i can get the fit on the damaged section due to it being pushed out an inch behind the bumper but still not too bad a fit hides the pushed out bit better than i thought it would, though i did get down there with me legs and push as much back as possible with leg power. doesn't look as bad now. but would of preferred it with the correct color even with the dent. nothing screams bodge job like the wrong color panel on a car. Number plate bracket is inside the bumper at the moment, but its just on for now and not permanent as i need easy access to the damaged area.

Do you ever just wish you could stop the world for a bit?
Well, at least your zed doesn't have any dents in it....... windows can be replaced and think your self lucky it was the house that is easy to change vs the car that is a bit of a caffle. Unlucky on the job Jane. but ring them and ask why they are offering it to you at a lower rate than what your currently on? always look at the positive side of bad fortune. makes it easier to swallow :D anyway BIG hug hun.

ooops think my auto box is busted
Well first port of call would be, where is the sound originating from? as it could be a few things. if its coming from what sounds like the gear box area. then the next thing to do would be..... empty the gear box oil and see if there are any metal shards / shavings in the oil, if no fill up with fresh oil and see if that cured your problem. most likely box is on its way out. but you never know with these cars.

To be honest i really never saw the problem with vista, ok so it asks you before you do anything, but that's because micro soft got fed up with people deleting key files out of windows XP then screaming down the phone at tech support how crap windows was. Then it was "vista is a system hog look how much ram its using while idling", its not a hog, that's just a misconception, windows implemented something that Mac OS's had long before windows put it in. a system that holds in memory regularly opened files. this way it made it quicker to start them if you went for one of the programs that was already in memory. it never hogged the system, just used ram more efficiently. where as XP, with my 3gig of ram, at the moment I'm only using 400meg of it. the rest is sitting there doing nothing. i like vista its a good solid OS. and the performance gains xp has over vista isn't even noticeable to be honest.

That looks like a very good engine, i bet if you plant your foot to get the power down, it would root you to the seats though, really cant see that being weedy in the old torque to be perfectly honest with you, but you would sure look a right plank if you blew that baby up.

Everyone said id never get it in the case, so i got the angle grinder out, shaved off the back where the card would sit (bit of the case blocking the air vent on the card above the DVI ports) then had to go to work on the CPU cooler (damn stupidly huge thing that had more metal than it needed) so trimmed that down where the rear of the cards fan casing sits. a little mod on a few capacitors to get the card to sit where they were. and bobs ya uncle. in she slotted. Im not even going to say how i fixed a 8800gtx the other day that refused to be recognized by windows. you would just think im mad lol
