  1. Id blow them up before id let them lose on anything even a unicycle....
  2. I'm actually beginning to think 300zx's hate me, 3 now and all of them have now been off the road, the latest one in the second week of ownership, yet i have to be thankful though, as its only a water leak, could of been a lot worse.
  3. I've tried both, same thing with both of them :(
  4. wow a scrapyard that left the wheels on. I'm surprised, they usually remove them and just stack them on top of each other with everything showing. Groover you just reminded me about that warburtons advert with the burnt loaf lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8PjjGUlYs8
  5. 4 x 180 resistors for 80p from maplins.
  6. That "how to fix your clock" walk through on twinturbo.net is crap. for one the resistors although on the board are in the wrong place for both units I've just tried. and second, it didn't bloody work lol I even had the 180 resistors as well. and still no joy, bloody stupid thing. I didn't even "snap them off the board using a flat head screwdriver" i did it the proper way, desolder'er and a soldering iron. so i know i didn't damage the tract. what a waist of 80p  (waits for Car.mad to mention something about being tight)
  7. Uk spec has these, i have 2 on my black breaker, only problem is the holes where your bulbs would go haven't been cut out.
  8. are the TPS different between the N/A and TT?
  9. while we are on lists, here we go - Lorries who feel the need to hold up the whole country because they are 1mph faster than the lorry in front so have to over take on a dual carriageway. - Lorries that just pull out to over take the lorry in front doing 1mph slower than them, even though they know your doing 70 and coming up fast and can clearly see you in their wing mirror, yet ignore the fact that there is no car behind you and do not let you over take first. - Lorries that over take the lorry in front doing 1mph slower than they are, and wait for you too get almost on there bumper before pulling into the lane instead of doing it earlier as they had more room and could of given more time to let you know there intention. - BMW drivers who just refuse to get the indicator optional extra when getting their shiny new BM - Scooter drivers using the pavement - People who park in child bays with no kids and no buggy to deal with. (fooking hate the t**ts) - People who still park on Double yellows and sit in their car while you await oncoming traffic because they are too lazy to find a parking spot a few meters down the road and walk to the place they need. - Other peoples kids - Junk mail in the post - Taxi's that think its a good idea to pull up outside then beep the horn gone 11pm at night. - People who barge their way out forcing you to stop or you will hit them, then thank you  - People who don't know how wide their car is. - People who will not move from the outside lane when your trying to join the motorway even though they have nothing next to them. - People who leave a junction in front of you but fail to accelerate to a half decent speed forcing you to break heavily - Iphone battery life - Laptop battery life - Zed 32 clock not working - Bank charges - Paypal - Harddrive failure - Women who ware next to nothing in winter then come out of the nightclub moaning how cold they are? - Women who buy dresses with the split down the side then walk along holding it closed? where the hell was the point in getting it? - Women who buy a top way to small for them and constantly have to pull it up so their norks don't flop out. - Men who pee all over the toilet seat. - Men who cant flush a public toilet to save their life. - The dirty bugger who farts in a shop down the isle then legs it and leaves the stink behind. - Arrogant people - road works during the day instead of at night when the roads are clear, so hold up even more traffic than they need too. - Traffic cones going on for miles with a enforced speed limit with no one anywhere near them working. - My local council who will quite happily spend 11million on relaying roads that don't need it, and leave the roads that do. god i could go on for ages, but i have to stop due to me waring the keys out on my keyboard.
  10. Your selling the Merc? you have only just got it :tt2: Your going to miss your zed when its gone you know that lol
  11. Pictures lol Bet it was them blue eyes that did it, congratulations :D
  12. You will all have to wait for Car.mad to answer, he will know what sizes he is doing.
  13. He will be working on a Cup holder that goes in under the center arm rest, I'm posting him out the inners of my breakers arm rest tomorrow so he can experiment lol
  14. I always wondered why people buy big powerful cars then worry about the MPG, surely if your going to worry about MPG you should research the car first? super car performance comes at super car fuel consumption.
  15. I've just realized that we sound like a bunch of old house wives sharing tips on the best ways to get clothes clean lol
  16. Stick of dynamite to help fix my car....
  17. aah there the ones you were on about lol, right ill defo have a check tomorrow, god i hope its them. your a star, if it is them next time i see ya im getting you a beer :D
  18. that's a stunner mate, love them wheels, good photos too. and welcome back bud :D
  19. Right, i think on that note then, ill check them first, didn't see the little pipes behind so cant rule that out, really hoping its something that simple, but then that would still leave the one at the rear, but i can tackle that when removing the plenum to change over for my polished one.
  20. i wouldn't call it common, (although I've had it now on the same pipe on two different cars) the first time i had the leak was due to my own fault of leaving the power steering pipe and pump on the car when i did the engine change. i had to move the pump out of the way when putting it back in, and along the pipe in question there is a metal join at a bend, this metal knuckle ended up cutting into the pipe causing it too leak. This time how ever it was just corrosion that did its work on the same knuckle. Jack the car up, and in front of the cross member held on by two metal clamps with rubber in it, is a power steering pipe, if its leaking from this pipe, then its most likely the knuckle the knuckle will be partly covered with a foam tubing. and if yours is leaking it will be collecting in this tubing and leaking out. how often do you have to fill it up with power steering fluid? If you get the pipe and the fluid. your more than welcome to pop the car down to me and ill change it over for you.
  21. Yeah sure did wake me up a bit :D made me feel alive, but i will be taking it easy-er. i didn't get the car to run it off the road showing off. :D
  22. Hi jeff, sent a PM back, but didn't explain it in the PM so will reply here. There is no water above the water pump, its dripping down the lower belt cover and leading up to the pulley wheel thing that the fan attaches too. I need to flush the system anyway as the water looks very rusty so its easy to spot as well. I still have to trace this rear leak also, but ill be having a good look when i pull the plenum for that one. my main concern is the one at the front as its dripping quite fast with the engine off.
  23. its leaking from the front, I've already removed the fan attached to it, and if you stick your finger just under the fan pulley on the pump, its dripping from around there. on the rear its a small drip but i can only see it from off the sump bulge. but that's even less of a drip. Front is dripping once every 3 seconds or so, the rear is dripping once every 20 seconds or so. but if i drive it, if it came up to temp the pressure would force it out in a jet. so not even worth risking it. fixing a water pump leak and a possible turbo water feed / heater matrix pipe leak is a lot better and easier than changing the Head gasket. so i know what I'm going for :D
