  1. I did indeed, and then he processed to say "yeah i used to have one of those" Uhuh, if you used to have one, surely you would know the difference between a 300zx and a Supra?
  2. Pulled up at Mcdonalds this morning to get some grub, this white r33 skyline pulls into the bay next to me, as i had my window down, i see his passenger side window start to lower. so i turned to him and said "Nice skyline" to which he replied "Nice Supra" I was dumb founded lol
  3. best driving roads are any that lead out of the country lol seriously they are just too uneven or pot holed to even be considered driving roads. Edit, sorry there is one i know of, M6 toll road. awesome stretch of motorway.
  4. I have the HKS mushroom thing, its rather large to say the least lol, i have a feeling its a connection issue or something, as my suspension is so stiff, when i hit lumps in the road it feels like its going to cut out? so going to have to check all the connections, also going to check the fuses as well, might be one that's blown but is still making a connection.
  5. I suppose simple questions first - has the alt belt been tightened up enough? - has the battery got enough juice? - PTU plugged in? - Does the engine turn over? - Removing the fuel pump fuse doesn't necessary release all fuel in the rail when cranking it, would be better to take the sparks out one by one and see if they are wet with fuel, if so leave them out for a bit then try again.
  6. Well i have a breaker with the original suspension on it in good condition, but id need yours to replace it as i still need to get the car in and out of the garage. but up to you, if you could make it to mine we could swap the suspension over, but as i said, totally up to you.
  7. Ive just turned around to see an advert for a toy dog, that cocks its leg and pee's on some dude? and this is for kids? jesus. what next, one that takes a dump on the floor while you have guests around, or dry humps ya leg? Was just shown on Boomerang kids channel Cant find the English version but this is the same advert I've just seen on TV with English dub
  8. I seem to have a phobia about that ECU check lol, i have no idea why, but id rather change an engine than have to fiddle with some tiny screw on the side of the ECU. im being serious here, its giving me goose bumps just thinking about it and making my chest tight, and getting sweaty palms, very strange but thats how it is everytime i think about doing it.... :crying: Noticed something, it gets worse when the engine is hot as well, don't say its the MAF, I've just swapped my old working one for Groovers DVD screen and player lol (typical)
  9. Well giving my radiator a flush today, just emptied the water out and my god, don't the Japs ever put Anti freeze in these cars? rusty color is not the word, it looked more like bright brown clay and had a very clay like consistency. that cant be good. But im still plagued with this strange back fire issue, noticed it tries to do it around 9 PSI, which is normal boost....
  10. Depends what you want it for to be honest, if your a avid down loader of crap, 20m connection is fine, you will only pull data down the pipe as fast as someone will give it too you anyway.
  11. did i heck. if i did, i would of posted about it when the numbers were drawn, well after id finished fainting that is.
  12. Ill have to check that in the daylight. but again, when i did the power steering pipe, i never even went over that side of the engine.
  13. Jeff, any tips on this problem, or could it just be crappy petrol? symptoms - Back fire - feels like it misses on a few cylinders - does it on boost. - Hoses are fine - Loud pop or bang sound (only happened the once though when it first did it) - Inter cooler pipes are fine - Dry Airfilter Going to reset the ECU and see if that helps.
  14. i wonder what he would say if he reviewed a 20 year old one now. and my god he looks young lol
  15. 100,000mph? that's some serious mods you have there lol
  16. I only hear that when doing 100+.......MPH :whistling: First time i heard it i thought my drivers door had come open.
  17. Hi ya and welcome to the club, get some pictures up, it might help someone recognize it
  18. cant see why not, but do we trust anyone who holds the ticket to actually cough up if they win lol
  19. I have no idea, but i know one thing, i went for a drive and she cut out on me, left me sitting at a junction with my hazards on trying to start it. then once i did start her, i got about half a mile and while doing 30, she died again and the engine light came on, then all of a sudden she jumped back into life and carried on like nothing had happened? Strange how a power steering pipe fix can cause all these strange occurrences. I've gone over what id done and double checked all pipes and plugs. but cant see anything wrong. I've taken the MAF off, and its dry as a daisy, even the Airfilter is dry. Think its time for a ECU reset. The only thing that is different that I've done today is fill her up with sainsburys 97 octane stuff, you don't think that is causing all my problems do you?
  20. Same here mate, id buy you it, and help you get the M3 on the road. don't worry about paying it back either, just give me the name of a good charity and ill donate the price of the car and the cost of the M3 to that. So you would get 7k for the car, + 7k towards a charity of your choice, and the same with the M3 rebuild. hows that sound. ill even throw in 12months tax and 12 months MOT, and a years insurance for you. So everyone get bloody praying, i got a car and a few body kits to buy lol
  21. Well only thing for it is to check and double check all the pipes, it was a very loud bang / pop kind of sound. to be perfectly honest i thought i had popped a rad hose. so i pulled over as soon as i could to check, oil temp was showing 85, water temp gauge was lower thank half way. So i suppose the best cause of action would be to remove the nose panel and check to see if the filter is wet, if not item to check the intercooler hoses as these are the only ones i hadn't checked.
  22. Ill have a look thanks for the advice, i never thought about them pipes lol
  23. Id go for the same color blue on the panels, silver / gray to match the out side of the car, blue to match the rear seats so the back panels blend in.
  24. that sounds like what im suffering, i have the HKS mushroom filter, so its probably damp. might of come in off the nose panel as the bonnet was open yesterday when it started raining. and it hammered it down in a short space of time before i managed to get the lid closed. i very much doubt its had time to dry out.
