  1. Steams I'll get my head lights off my breaker and have a look for you, I need to remove the angel eyes from them anyway
  2. Misfire problems can be attributed to a few things. - MAF - CAS - PTU - Coil packs - Injectors - Spark plugs starting to pack in. Id start with cleaning the connections on the PTU, CAS and MAF, to check if its a coil pack, remove the coil pack plugs one at a time and then pop them back on, until you hear no chance in engine revs, this will be the misfire. then remove the coil pack and change it for one that you know to be working. If the problem then changes to the new location, its a Coil pack problem, do the same for spark plugs if it stays in the same cylinder. as for Injectors, get a long screw driver, put the tip on the end of the injector cap, put your ear against the handle, and you should hear loads of rhythmic clicking (engine needs to be running lol)
  3. ok you lot, enough of the gay chat, this is a car forum not a bloody dating site. OK ok, yes your all a bunch of top blokes who id never think twice about having a drink with. cept baz....and daz....(there names sound to much alike) ooh and that mikey bean chap, total asshole..... but on a serious note, i love this place, and love helping out as well where i can. wouldn't change this forum for the world.

  10. Daz give me a ring bud, ill talk you through it rather than two'ing a frowing on the forum lol
  11. Me too matey, body work is always a pain in the arse with cars to be honest. but I'm glad i got the mechanical side sorted out first. plus doesn't make sense to get rid to be honest as there isn't any rust, well small bit where i put me finger through, but not to the point its eating the car to pieces.
  12. Its a full on raging stiffy mate :euro: :thumbup1: Well chuffed, Car.mad im only doing it due to you taking the piss out of my car all the time :innocent: Might even lay off the photos till JAE :ninja: Oh and Car.mad, you will be pleased to know, you only have a week left to take the p about my wonkey exhaust as well. as its getting changed in the next week or so
  13. i might treat my self to a Abflug type 4 next year car.mad if your up for it :D
  14. Going to be getting the rear quarter body work repaired next month, had a awesome quote for the repair plus respray of the offending panel, and hes going to sort my front bumper out so it fits properly. so all thoughts of getting a new 300zx now have gone.. Then going to be getting the cash together for the full body respray, will replace my drivers door with the dent in it for the one on my breaker before it goes for the respray, hoping to get it all done before JAE, think the only thing that isnt going to get sorted out in time for JAE will be the alloy refurb. Really cant wait to get her looking back to how she should.
  15. i friggin know that, ive seen it in the flesh, i was saying "sorry zogg" due to the front end :winkiss:
  16. (sorry about this zogg) but what on earth do you find appealing about this kit? sorry i just cant see any attraction in the looks of it.
  17. Jim, if the shell is good (IE no rust) just replace the engine if its the piston rings. but id get a compression test done first. this will highlight ring failure. Ive just had a decent quote to repair the body work on mine, so I'm now keeping it, as there really isn't any rust on it anywhere. the mechanics are good. the interior (apart from the drivers seat - typical lol) is good and i have a spare door on my breaker for the respray. so now its brought the total cost of restoring it down. its now worth me keeping over getting a car that i have no knowledge of. Think of it this way, if it costs more to replace the engine than it does to buy another. then get another. if it costs less, fix the one you have.
  18. ive got one of his 89spec spoilers, bloody pain in the arse, it fitted perfectly so no modding involved, was well annoyed
  19. or any of the mod team :devil2:
  20. is that both sides failed, or just the passenger side?

  22. Red pm your details and I'll contact you in a bit mate, gotta head out to my breaker for a bit
