LeoEs car refusing to idle
seems its not firing on all cylinders matey wanted to get the timing set up properly when we first got it up to temp it was sitting at 30btdc on the crank pulley, but as its a unorthodox we wanted to make sure the mark was in the correct place, it wasn't updating on consultz though for some strange reason. so we left it as it was, with consults saying 15 and the mark on the pulley saying 30? well i suppose we can get the icv off and give it a clean.

LeoEs car refusing to idle
Trying to get Leo's car to idle and it's having none of it, last thing he changed was the spark plugs we have changed them back for the old ones to see if that would make a difference, we have changed ptu for a known working one and it's still doing it, tested the timing and that's ok just seem to splutter then refuse to run tested the Cas and all injectors were clicking away it's kinda got us stumped

traction issues
could be a simple matter of not enough weight on the back wheels to handle the power. are they directional tyres? ive got avon zz3's on mine and they grip like shit to a blanket.

you forgot to mention what brand of trainers you have fitted to the boots of your motor.

plenum removal
the plenum pull is actually quite easy especially if you are doing the by pass as you can just get rid of the small pipe work under the plenum so less to worry about when refitting it. but what i will say to anyone thinking about doing it. is make sure you get a lower plenum to upper plenum gasket. as most likely you will find the old one will rip and stick to either one when removing. and the last place you want a air leak is between those two after you have refitted it. Also make sure you get a good quality by pass hose for the bypass, ive had both left and right blow on me, luckily when i wasnt to far from home so i could get home with out damaging anything.

plenum removal
you will see when taking it off, you have a few old brittle tiny hoses to deal with if you want to put it back on with out doing the by pass. the other advantage is you move any potentially leaking pipes away from problem areas and end up with ones that are easy to get to with out taking the plenum off.

Part worn tyre advice
chill please. There is a company close to me (Northampton) that deals in partworns only, that come from company cars as most company cars like to have their tyres changed around the 5mm mark, nothing physically wrong with them. also being a tyre fitter for a while back when i was younger. i can tell you now that if there are flaws in the tyre due to where they came from they are rather noticeable. The biggest problem with any second hand tyre would be if they have been driven while flat and damaged the inside tyre wall. out side areas also need to be looked at, before and after being fitted to the alloy. side wall damage / side wall bulging are major concerns and should be avoided and the tyre disposed of. but dismissing partworns based on "no knowledge" of where they came from. when they can come in very handy sometimes, is just plain wrong. Anyone can have a blow out, doesn't even need to be a part worn to do so. you might catch the curb and pinch the tyre wall on a brand new tyre and blow it out the same week, you run no extra risk by using a unknown part worn if you check the condition your self. they are pretty well made. Lots of people use part worns, most use them to bridge the gap between getting paid and then getting a full set of rubber. the most important thing anyone can do when buying a part worn is to inspect the tyre them selves. you will soon notice if something is out of place. Oh and from my experience of working in tyre fitting environment, throw enough spare cash at a tyre fitter and they will change almost anything with in reason, but ive never seen a tyre fitter refuse to fit part worns unless the tyre its self was noticeably damaged and would put the customer at risk.

Auto TT's?
been a big post on this, the 300zx autobox is quicker off the mark than a manual (with the older ones) due to the smaller turbos, they do lose top speed over the manual though, and ive not noticed a difference between my auto and manual as far as fuel eco is concerned.

Auto TT's?
Autoboxes on the 300zx have a learning feature, best thing to do when getting the auto is reset the ecu back to basics so it can learn how you drive the car. its more than likely not doing what you expect as it was driving to how someone else drove the car. when i first got my autobox working, it didnt have a clue and sometimes would sit at 3k revs when i was sitting in the car going "come on change gears?" now it does it how it should and works perfectly.

Front Calliper Refurb,
mikey did his a while back, he split them and as far as i know, never had a problem with them. try here though, front pistons seem rather cheap considering. http://www.nissanparts.cc/catalog/?section=1148

Very very nice Zed
well i know what mine would look like now when lowered, shame hes got a nicer front bumper than me, i take it hes had his arches rolled to get those wheels under them, as looking at mine with the stance on the back end, im pretty sure id put a groove in the out side edge of my tires when i lower it if i dont get the arches rolled.
