Im a major fan of Stormchasers on discovery channel, mainly due to reed timmer, awesome guy very passionate about his field of science. came across this someone had posted on his facebook feed, must of been a US only thing but i found it quite funny considering. For those that do not watch storm chasers, reed and the TVN (tornadovideos.net) team built the dominator it was tested on myth busters to speeds of 350kph, its strange looks are designed to help the air flow around the vehicle instead of under it, so in effect its "tornado proof" to a certain extent, its also covered in protective panels to help with the occupants from flying debris kicked up by tornado, it had weather data instrumentation on it as well as probe launchers to fire probes into tornadoes to gather wind speed and other readings. they are also on the forefront of warning those in firing line of tornadoes. comments like this bug the hell out of me, we constantly complain that our cars are worth feck all, yet the moment people start trying to raise the bar we get comments to say they aint worth it??? so what is it? low sell cost or try and get the price increased? Yes they are 20 year old cars, but far from a datsun, its a nissan through and through. a 240 is a datsun, a 300zx is a nissan and should be labeled as such. it never rolled out of the factory with a datsun badge so why label it as such. SWB is a limited market, doesn't help with the cost of insurance for young people, it forces the sale into the market of those who do not have kids, or those who do have kids but they are old enough they have left home. Add that to the fact its only February and people are still recovering from Christmas + high fuel costs plus lack of public awareness as to what car it is / performance it has, and people tend to stick to the more common type of 2 seater vehicles like the MX5 and the MG.

the snow is that heavy here, its actually fallen off my bonnet it weighed that much, going to go out in a min and remove it from the targa's

Brake pads were changed just before I sold it they are cheap enough to replace, hand brake was adjusted as well but is simple enough to redo unless you need to change the hand brake shoes

The thread has been closed until twinz has spoken to groover, i feel i should reply to this. At present there is no trusted UK seller, the deal between twinz and jeff fell through, zcenter wouldnt get a sniff in due to how they handled the situation last time. And no one at present seems to want to import directly to the UK as far as im aware.
