  1. After a lot of soul searching I have decided to do an auto conversion on my manual. Main reason for this is that my Porsche is Tiptronic and I love not needing to bother changing gear. I went in someone elses zed that was an auto and it was a great drive!. I have just sent back my brand new Manual box and twin plate carbon clutch to buy the new bits I need for my conversion :thumbup1:. Looking forward to going auto
  2. The nos needs to be 6 inches in front of the throttle body. I have had to drill and tap a hole into my new 300 degree rails for the fuel feed. All the solenoids will be where the old AC rad used to be and the injectors will go into the bottom or sides of the hard pipes as not to ruin the look.
  3. Thats something, I could only imagine what other evil would have lurked if it was.
  4. Is this the same car that had the bodged wheels?
  5. Daz looking good !!!!, you will find you will probably need to fiberglass the metal insert in to put the strength back in it as you have to loose the metal bracket behind. Also it will go in the car flush without the need to remove or adapt any of the plastic in the dash if you remove the metal bracket in there as well and wiggle it in. Cant wait to see it all done.. love the lights.
  6. Use an electric paint stripper
  7. I need someone to do my setup and then tune the car after it is run in, any ideas who is any good at this kind of stuff down south? Its a stand alone AEM management system
  8. i would only do it if i could get good on test bits, I dont want to kill myself or damage £1400 front seats lol
  9. I think so (fingers crossed!)
  10. I have spoken to someone, I just need to book him to get him out now to do them. Should be this week. We are putting the NOS solenoids where the old AC rad used to go so we need those pipes as well.
  11. I could do but I would rather buy one then if ever I need to use one I have one. Probably come in handy from time to time.
  12. Jimmer and FunkySi came down yesterday, a big thanks for all the help!!. The timing belt is now on and Jimmer also put my new cams in, really posh new intake sprockets and new turbo oil feeds. :w00t: There are still a few little bits to do on the Engine before it gets its final fit. But it had to go in the hole so I can get someone out to make me some new power steering and NOS pipes up.
  13. Guys I need to fabricate some bits to get my Recaros to fit into my Zed. I have the universal slider and fitting kit but its not even close. They supply them with a load of steel to help you fabricate something!. Anyhows im going to need to do some welding can someone please let me know what I need to buy ie, what welder, wire mask etc. Im not looking for proffesional stuff just something easy to use and learn on. thanks
  14. Cant wait as I hate the dark evenings
  15. yep, sure can zedcentre sells them for about £20 but bleed it before you fit it as its a lot easier. Tape the plunger in the inward position and bleed it holding the slave cylinder at the highest point.
  16. Here are the ones I have done :scared: http://www.project300tt.com/2010/03/15/my-top-ten-300-zx-deletes-and-weight-saving-tips/ http://www.project300tt.com/2010/03/22/relocating-power-steering-resovoir/ http://www.project300tt.com/2010/03/05/relocating-the-fuse-box-to-inner-whel-arch/
  17. go on Si you are good with words.
  18. OMFG that is absolutely amazing, today just for a moment I am proud to be British!!! I am so shocked that someone from Royal mail took the time to look at it, read it, then stick it in an envelope to make sure it got to you. Would have been really funny to get a post mark but I guess that is the whole defacing the queen bit. Im gob smacked well done posties!! see if they have a forum and post it on there!!
  19. It is so gonna get stolen, everyone is on the rob in the uk.
  20. This country is bust, VAT will be 25% at the next budget and basic rate of tax will be about 30%
  21. Baz very very nice fella!
  22. I really like your wheels Si, they are very tasteful. I thought long and hard about what colour to do mine as it was an engine out job I could have gone for any colour. What I love about the Lexus white is that it is a very sharp crisp colour that is not to OTT. Everything seems to go really well with it colour wise as well. Black/White/Chrome look awsome as the colours contrast really well. Also in my mind for some reason I think Nissans look great in white, like Porsches in Silver, Ferraris in red etc. Wait and see what mine looks like fitted up and polished with all the black pipes and black interior etc.
  23. Mine is 52 I found out 60 on the front so it would Fitness
