  1. Just watching Full Metal Jacket on tv and was thinking what the best ones are. Saving Private Ryan is probably mine, but I love watching The thin red line, A bridge to far, and Apocalypse Now, ohhh and The great escape.
  2. Id like to do NOTHING as a full time job :blushing: Im semi retired now and I love spending the time messing about on the car or doing other stuff. Failing that Rollercoaster tester.
  3. Smithy is spot on about the Map sensor, my cones go straight on the end of the intake pipes for better air flow.
  4. Just sent you a PM, hope that helps. Im afraid I cant code but do own a successful dot com company employing over twenty techies :thumbup1:. So know all the ropes.
  5. This is the best stuff to get rid of grease, better than any of the normal stuff. Just dont get it in any cuts as it stings. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/5-LTR-CAUSTIC-TRAFFIC-FILM-REMOVER-9-1-MIX-FOR-VALETING_W0QQitemZ310046161884QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item483030fbdc
  6. Nice one will grab a copy!!! congrats on getting on the front page.
  7. make sure that you remove all the bolts that run down the centre, then ensure the brackets are off that hold it onto the block. Then just give it a good tug. Its probably being held on with water pipes underneath that you will delete anyhows!.
  8. bulkled wheel, hit any pot holes lately?
  9. I am really worried about getting it running so much has been changed, deleted, or replaced. But I will video it! I just hope we can get it sorted in time for Japfest. Next big problem is fitting the new Recaros they are not even close to the old mounting points on their universal runners.
  10. Thanks its clean and simple, I removed all the old blue pipes and just went polished alloy, black and silver (with the white cam cover). Thing is I thought long and hard about getting coloured pipes but you can never replace everything coloured so thought it would turn out ok black. Interior has been trimmed as well will get some decent pics of that to post in the next few days as well. Just black/black with white stiching on the seats looks classy!!
  11. Sorry about the quality of a lot of these pics my phone has had some funky setting turned on that means a lot of the pictures came out crap, the flash on the phone just reflected making a bright haze. I will take some better ones in the light with my decent camera but it will give you an idea of how it is coming along. Everything connected now, the NOS and all the sensors are in and I gave it a polish last night to remove all the messy hand prints. Im really pleased with how it turned out. After we have done a few electrical bits I should be able to programme the base map and see if the little gem starts. http://www.project300tt.com/2010/04/14/engine-and-gearbox-in-the-car/
  12. Depends you can go on and on TBH
  13. Ah well I will try it and if it looks crap I will give it away :whistling: I might have a little bit too much alloy and stainless on mine was after something black.
  14. Here are the deletes done on mine http://www.project300tt.com/2010/03/15/my-top-ten-300-zx-deletes-and-weight-saving-tips/ Also relocating the PAS pump http://www.project300tt.com/2010/03/22/relocating-power-steering-resovoir/ You can use your existing no return valve m8 no need for a new one. You will need some decent braided hose, I got mine off ebay but they do sell some thin crap stuff on there so make sure its the fuel pipe stuff. Also Jubilee clips and a few P clips, make sure you buy real jubilee clips they are a million times better than the fake ones. Sorry just read you are doing a conversion so I guess you will need a no return valve..
  15. I watched a few and thought it was Pish!
  16. I had something similar on my car in the few days I owned it before I took it apart. It was a loose hard pipe causing a loss in boost and a spluttering when you started to get the revs up. Basically because of worn engine mounts the engine was whipping a bit and pulling the end of the pipe off no matter how tight it was.
  17. Good old waxoyl or Shultz spray it all!! or you can paint it on
  18. If I can get the Zed going in time!!!
  19. What a fecker buy the least expensive thing you can from him on ebay then neg feedback him just to get your own back. What a waster its his problem!!
  20. LOL Id go for the car colour once you decided on that, maybe someone could paint shop it up for you in a carbon/kevlar finnish as well? Just polish or chrome the plenham imo? are you cutting bits of your bonnet out to fit some of these bits?
  21. Andy, looks like you have been busy again! Personally im not sure if death by carbon will give you a great look??? being 100% honest it looks terrible on the Plenham. If you wanted to do something real unique go for polished aluminium riveted together old school style like on the 30s planes?? on the skins.
  22. Odd it should go for ten minutes after the car was running again??????? then decide to die. Good luck with it, if you need a hand with anything then let me know.
