Anyone who has been here knows my neighbours are not that close she is about 300+ yards away. Only thing is that (was) my good neighbour so I dont fancy not being on terms with either of them. Only saving grace is that you can go six months without seeing either of your neighbours here as it is quite rural. Bummer though

Today we somehow managed to get the zed to kind of run. I say kind of as it kept ticking over then dying when you went to hit the gas. The timing and the map is all wrong but it did run on all six. After we kind of got it to rev up my neighbours wife came around in a right mood telling us in no uncertain terms to STOP IT. Under no account could we carry on as the smell of petrol and terrible noise was simply to much for her. I asked her when she was going out so we could have another try, and it seemed to annoy her even more saying it was not the place to do it. Cut a very long story short I went round there later and I told her I would try and keep it down or send it off to get it running properly. To be fair it was a bit loud as I did not have the centre section of the zorst on :scared: I am getting it taken on a low loader to http://www.readperformance.co.uk/index.htm on the 22nd to do a proper map and get all the fuel and suspension set up. My friend James did take a video on his iphone but we are struggling to get it off the phone and do anything with it. I will post it if we can do something useful with it.

Pat seems OK car is now trying to start but seems to not be getting enough fuel how do you check the injectors

Trying to start car with no luck. Taken a plug out and can't see any spark any ideas?

I need some luck with this now, no more broken cams or falling off jacks. Fecker just needs to go... Bound to be some little issues but I will keep you all posted. Its ended up being a nut and bolt restoration no part of this car is now standard. Just all the AEM engine management to sort out now. Just put a new battery on it and need to turn it over a load of times to get they oil pressure up before we go for gold. Keeping everything crossed

After thirteen hours to change the sump on my own, I could have set fire to the bloody thing :crying:. Thanks to Jimmer for the sump.. what a star!. What a biatch of a job to do with the car in on axel stands. Oil dripping on your face, no room to move, and bolts that broke on the suspension taking them off. To get the sump off I had to drop and remove all the suspension and cross member, support the engine, and getting the bracket on and off that goes under the oil filter tree was a right pain in the backside. Anyhows all done now, no damage to the internals but the sump was clearly being hit by the crank when I turned it a few times. Well I can put my mind at rest now. Apart from sticking some oil in and uploading the base map from Silver Bullet then making a few changes we are ready to see if it starts!!!. I am really worried about it as EVERYTHING has been changed or moved or deleted so knowing my luck its going to be a right pig to get running :scared: Fingers crossed for the next few days to see if it goes after all this hard work :whistling:

Why has it got an RAC badge on the grill if it aing been driven?

In the short term you might be able to bypass it, the pipes have really small jets inside so im not sure how much oil gets passed through it, but I dont think its that much so how much cooling it does im not sure?

I am hoping the internals are ok as the thick power steering pipe was jammed in between the jack and the sump so that stretched and took some of the weight and softened the blow a bit being rubber. So gutted literally just as everything was put together this happens, I was just putting a new under tray on and the last bit of the exhaust.

Was just finnishing the last few bits so the battery could go in to try and get the car running. jacked the car up with two hydralic jacks on the middle of the cross member at the front. Firstly using a small one to then get the big one in there to get it high enough to put on ramps. The front of the car was on concrete with the two rear wheels backed out of my garage onto my shingle drive way. I checked it was central on the cross member as I jacked it up using the the big jack, the back of the car must have slid back on the shingle as it went up and it fell off the jack. With a loud thump the car slid back off the jack and then fell back down. The jack then was forced into the bottom of the sump making a huge dent about an inch deep before it fell onto the small jack I also had under there!!!. Cut a long story short I guess its either an engine out job, or all the front suspension will need to come out to replace it. Im just hoping it has not damaged anything inside the sump when it fell onto the jack????. I am soooooo pissed off right now I cant tell you........ Can you replace the sump with the engine still in the car, if you remove all the suspension and cross member??? Just my luck, only plus side is I never go under the car on a jack at all, even if there are two of them there so at least I was not crushed in the process.
