Who would you reccomend for engine work?
£15,000 on the engine side of things but If I can 80 % of the best performance for say half of that I would probably do that. I like the idea of leaving it 3.0L but I am concerned all the cash I throw at it would be wasted going back and upgrading again down the line. It will just be for road use... whole point of buying one is to see what we can do with it!

Who would you reccomend for engine work?
Who would you reccomend (down south or London way if possible) to do a re bore to 3.2 cryo treat the engine and put all the new forged parts in as well as ugrade the turbos etc?. Also can you help me make a shopping list of what parts I will actually need and where best to buy them from to go stage 3. I sent an e-mail to z1 a few days ago and have not had a reply yet. I was thinking of buying the 800+ HP pack from them its just under $20K or would you stay 3.0 and go for the 700HP pack? Or can I get the help I ned from someone who knows there stuff here in the UK? Any comments much appreciated

Is Z1 somewhere I can buy all these bits from? if so can I have the web address. I want to get a load of stuff sorted as soon as I have a proper plan about what can be done. I was thinking of getting the engine taken out to 3.2 then cryo treated and take it from there. Anyone come to mind for doing that?

Its a nice car and he seems to be a really nice bloke. It was clear on the phone that he was a genuine guy and an enthusiast and has been very helpful regarding what else can be done to it. It is exactly what I wanted as a starter car, something that is already nice that you can throw some time and money at to get the BHP up.

This is the car I am buying on Monday, the seller sent me lots of other pics and its exactly what I was after for Starters. I can just focus on doing the mechanicals, rear brakes and further improvements to the suspension. Its very exciting having something you can mess about with yourself!... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1167327.htm

My Ferrari- A big hello
Good question I dont know... sorry all my cars have been done by garages and I never asked the question!!!. My Porsche 911 TT is 680 BHP and was specialist tuned from new it has uprated turbos and had a re map etc. The reason we bought this ZX is because its not so risky doing a 5K car when it comes to making mistakes and you can do most of it yourself for some fun. I have never had a Jap car before but I know they can shift as one took me out in my Ferrari 360 F1. I pulled up at the lights and told him I was running a new clutch in, but TBH I gave it everything and was so ashamed lol. My Porsche on the other hand is the fastest thing I have ever driven, wipes the Ferraris ass and has never been beat yet on the road. How do you post pics on here?- A big hello
On another note I cant believe what good value for money these cars are, I am buying a more expensive one (collect it monday) but I still think its great value. The seller reccomended this forum.- A big hello
The externals of the car I will leave alone as it looks very sharp as is. Just really interested in what we can do with it performance wise for a bit of fun. I was going to get a Supra but just love the look of these cars. Will be trying to get to about 5-600 BHP I think its about 380 ATM- A big hello
Hi Live in Portsmouth just getting a lovely ZX TT as a project car to do work on over the winter months with a friend . Will be asking a lot of questions as it will be the first project car we have ever done. I want to get the engine out and go the whole way with it! then complement it with everything else possible on the car. Its such a great car and IMO you can just keep adding to it. - A big hello
