Engine drop?
Far longer than it should have, TBH it was a right pig and some of the bolts were just bar stewerds to get off, one at the back of the tub needed hacksawing off and you could only just fit a Ritzla back there. First time I had done it and it probably took me three days, but at least half of that was dealing with problem bolts. Some of the guys here say they can do them in a few hours!!!!!

My rebuild
2 rocker box covers, door clasps, and a few pipes that go to the intercooler etc and a few misc bits but not that much. Now if the other lot dont deliver I have a whole box of bits. But I could get these bits up there first then see how it all pans out as I really dont think the local lot will do anything.

What colour calipers would you get?
yes it should be might come to nothing though, just thinking if you show it then you need something a bit more special than a few bits of chrome and blue pipes lol.

I have a compressor, thinners and spray gun so guess thats going to be the way forward. I was just thinking I did not want to paint over brake pipes and bushes as that could be an MOT faliure.

What colour calipers would you get?
Well here are the pictures of the car for those who cant remember it http://www.project300tt.com/ OMG I just cant make my mind up, not gold... I like all three colours the same, blue is the logical choice as other bits are blue but I have to say that yellow IMO looks the best as it is the colour Porsche use on their ceramic brakes so im used to looking at it. And everyone likes red anyhows..

I was thinking Blue but im still on the fence, is this the normal position for the rear brakes? do you think these are good brakes? they have fantastic reviews and seem to be used by some great drivers. http://www.stoptech.com/satisfied_customers/300zx.shtml Im also going for http://www.importpartspro.com/tetyflco.html and the motor kit

My rebuild
Very very nice... can you tell me where you got your polishing and chroming done and what they charged you for it?. I am about to pick a load of bits up from someone locally who has had them three weeks and still not even given me a price so a reliable company would be really appreciated.

What do you do for a living?
Craig AKA Bear Grills LOL that would scare the crap out of me m8 just the travelling. My Friend works on Helicoptors and he throws up from time to time when he is up as he has to work in the dark and said they are very lumpy :hurl: Speaking of being sick I went to thorpe park yesterday one of my mates threw up after every rollercoaster but he went on them all. I have a coaster addiction I go all over the country to do them.

What do you do for a living?
Blimey, this is very interesting Craig do you fly out in a Helicoptor? Some people really have job satisfaction here by the sounds of it. Delivering ferraris would definately be better than owning one I can tell you that first hand. I love my Zed as you can do so much with them. Would be cool working with Kids I give support to a local business academy and sometimes they come to my house with their teacher for bacon butties!!

What do you do for a living?
I wish I could do something a bit more manual as flying a desk is bad for your health!. I dont think I could do roofing or ceilings though as I have no head for heights.

Scum that dont pay bills
Ohh m8 when you rent them out you get loads of people on benefit literally begging for them. A few of them seemed really genuine and nice as well, but for the reasons you stated I was told not to go there, no deposit and normally problems getting paid. A friend of mine processes the claims and said basically they give them the cash, if they dont pay it takes you ages to evict them. Then they have nothing to loose as they re home them to do it all over again. Its not always the people but the system sucks... saying that Im stuck with two proffesionals failing to pay.
