Im afraid you cant do anything at all, its a loophole in the law. Both of the companies are normally the same company or lead generating business. The first call is dealt with in the UK but routed abroad so it does not have to comply with any UK laws. These first calls are generally automated using a dialer system and then if you press a key they put you through to a handler who gets paid a commision on getting your personal details. They know you have absolutely no way to get to them. They will lie to you about what company they are, they will tell you all sorts of porkies to get your information. If you ask them anything tricky they just hang up or tell you to Foxtrot oscar. They then sell the lead to the second company (or get another department in the same company) who calls you up, IF you can ever get real details from them this is your only point of complaint. But generally they just get more information then sell your details to another company for big money. At that point you will be hounded for all time as you end up on a "sucker list" for services. BT cant do anything as if a number is witheld they dont have any obligation to tell you the company. They offer a service to you that costs YOU £6 a month not to accept calls from witheld numbers!. Someone needs to take these cretins to task for operating like this as it sucks, and causes a lot of people misery and they get pestered frequently after that. The feckers call me at home all the time, im ex directory, on the telephone preference list, and have never given my home number to anyone. I have tried so many times to catch these guys out and get their real details so I can cause all sorts of trouble. The only satisfaction I have been able to get is say I am interested and say my name is "Wayne King" . When they call back I say Oh let me get this right you are after a wayneking. And call them a muppet a few times till they hang up.

Does anyone know the name of the colours or the paint code for either the nissan or the lexus? The paint shop said they can spray some cards for me but need the codes or colours.

Firstly just go over there and tell him to move it slightly as it is over your property. Anything that hangs over your property you can remove providing you give it to him, so hedge trimmings, branches, guttering etc. Failing that remove the guttering and saw the overhanging bit of the shed off and throw it into his garden.

no something to do with some eu rule or something, one of the parts of the paint is not made any longer. Basically the safe replacement colour from a different maker is a slightly different colour although the same paint code, so it looks different when you paint it. The pearl is still available but in my case its impossible to touch up, had two garages tell me this now so I know its not porkys. If you get a respray done I would check its a future proof colour and maybe buy an additional few litres to be on the safe side.

Im really liking the lexus pearl, I might go to the dealers to look at one in the flesh if I can.

I think mine was just not a very pearly colour, im liking those ones they can make me trial cards for whatever pearl whites I want. Cant tell from the pics but are they a real bright white as well? I have to stay to a real colour as its the whole reason the car is being done again is you cant buy the tint for the colour on there anymore. The replacement tint in the "same colour" makes the paint look a different colour. So main thing is it can be touched up this time with no problems, the respray is costing more than I paid for the car lol. Pearl whites dont look too chavy as well IMO

The rolling shell of my zed was taken away today to be re painted, we took everything out the engine bay and they are taking all the windows out and doors and boot off to do a top class job. I am having it done here http://www.banburys.net/ (have a look in the gallery my old ferrari is in there !! mellow yellow). They also did my Porsche and there work is absolutely stunning. Anyhows I want to go for a bright white again as it looks lush IMO and im getting airbrushing done under the hood but I want a really nice pearly one. The one on there you could hardly notice at all, anyone got any suggestions?.

I would stay away from Lacquer as it will go brown and end up being an ass to remove. Polish all the parts up then wipe them with baby oil, will look nice for a while and comes off no problem at all.

Andy I cant PM you as you are not upgraded but can you please tell me where you got your knock sensor wiring from, also have you replaced all your 8-10-12 MM bolts if so where did you buy them from?

Any ideas where I can buy the wiring that connects the knock sensor to the main harness. Mine has fallen to bits?

Where abouts in the country is it?
