Cyrus I read your post and have to say it seems to be spot on the money, for my build spec I worked backwards. I wanted to run NOS so then went and had an engine built spec wise right from the start to run it, with the correct cams, valves, rods, pistons etc. I then bought a twin plate carbon clutch to hold the boost and the NOS. It is what it is a powerful mod for a powerful engine. I dont think in any way it would detract performance wise from ALL the work and upgrades that have gone into the build to run it. If someone wants to go and stick NOS on a stock engine then fair play they have got the BHP however you look at it even if it destroys the engine?. Lets face it, its a great mod if done right but a risky one if done wrong.

Anyone know where I can get these in the UK in buff, the zedcentre sells them but cant get them in buff finnish.. im sick of looking any ideas?

Thing is you take NOS out you take out racing fuel as well IMO... im not bothered as mine will be evil both ways and I can dyno it both ways as well. But IMO its a mod like any other, you pay for it set it up and it gives an increase in performance. If you have not done it right or cut corners looking for a quick gain you run the risk of destroying your engine. Dynos both ways might be the answer?

I have a big build going on at the moment, a lot of money has ben thrown at it should be in the 600s without NOS, but has been built to run NOS so my dyno will probably include it when completed as it is part of the actual build spec. Clearly dynos need to be posted for bragging rights lol, so at the moment I am on 0HP A quote from Madmax "speed is just a question of money, how fast do you want to go ?"

What is the perfect size wheels to go for with big brakes in 18s and 19s then I will order a set up.

The Alpine stereo is a CVA1004R (it comes with instructions) with Ipod adapter. And the DVD player is so good that it does not even have a make! it has instructions but just says "operating instructions DVD/MP4" . It works but I think its a throw in with the Alpine head unit TBH.

When the bits are off the car I will post them in the for sale forum on a first come basis with pictures. I am just about to get all my bits from the US they are being shipped on Friday :lol: I have a load of bits coming off the car that I will be selling on here as soon as the new bits are fitted. Dude Do a chargeback from paypal and a neg feedback ASAP, if you fall outside of the resolution preiod you are fecked. In my opinion you have probably been had! Just get your money back if you can before it is too late. If they turn up re pay the guy, what is his feedback like?

I am pleased we decided to go for a white again, I was thinking about changing the colour but these do look nice in white. I am very very worried about being able to put it all back together again and get it working though. We have taken so much stuff off and have so much new stuff to put in and get working!!!.

My arches have been done and the whole car is in primer, I went to the paint shop today to drop some chromed door fittings in so they can start getting on with the outside now the shuts have been done and fitted up again. The colour and finnish is absolutely amazing, under the bonnett was horrible it was spray can black, and where the brake and clutch had been leaking fluid it was rusty. They have welded up all the holes and filled them where we are relocating the power steering pump and fuse box etc. We decided on the new Lexus pearl colur and it is a real lovely bright white pearl.

I got really bored, was really looking forward to going back today. I just think that my life now has a bit more purpose than just eating and watching TV. My wife looked at me kinda strange last night at 3am when I said I could not sleep as I was excited about going back to work. I only work Mondays-Wednesdays now anyhows, from 10-5 so its not long until my weekend starts lol.

I have had 7 Porsches, including 4 911s and three of those were 996s including a GT3 and a Turbo S. I have had a Turbo S for about 4 or 5 years now and it is a fantastic car. The basic 996 is a fantastic car, very fast, the traction control is awsome and they are very very reliable. Servicing is probably not as much as you think and it is completely an everyday drive. You can get loads of fun bits from http://www.design911.co.uk/ if you want to play around with it. If you can get a good one for about 15K I doubt you will ever loose much money on it as that is very close to the bottom price wise. I love owning exotics and a 911 is an icon of motoring. Whenever you drive it you will have a smile on your face :yes:.

I promised my wife the best Christmas present that she has ever had, and she got it! I took her to McDonalds drive through, then banged her twice!!, what more caould any woman ever want?. I think she must have had a fantastic day as she seemed to be cring with joy for most of the day. Not really... McDonalds on Christmas day? I had a real quiet one, we went to her stables to see her horse and had a few mince pies then came home and spent Christmas on our own. I lay on the floor in front of a big open fire reading a book. It was awsome!!! we normally have to do stuff...
