Yeah I watched it last night as well, very good series this. Im loving this series so far..

Well done it took me like 3 days to get mine out as every bolt was a battle and one took me just over half a day to get out. Now you should practice doing all of the deletes on it. Taking it all apart was quite straight forward, for me but putting it all back together from just a block was quite challenging as everything was an upgrade and then doing all the deletes on top is confusing at times. But I could do it all again now a lot faster. Its all fun though!

I like it, but you go and do all that and leave it like a dog under the hood???? half a job IMO.

No rush John sort your own car out first, we just needed to get the cables in so when the interior comes back from the trimmers I can put that it. I think im gonna need the engine lift back for next weekend if possible though so I can put the flywheel etc on.

yep thrust bearing is noisy by the sounds of it.

Well since friday... Undersealed the inside of the boot, we ran all the audio cables through the car, along with the new fog light wiring. Routed the NOS feed through the car and the bulkhead. Put the dash back in (apart from a broken cluster bracket). Test fitted the double din centre console. And I relocated the power steering resovoir and heated and bent all the connectors so it sits next to the brake servo. I am now sort of ready for the interior to come back so I can start fitting that. Almost every piece of plastic trim is broken or cracked in one way or the other.. its a pain in the ass. I am hoping to get the engine in the car in the next few weeks with a bit of luck.

As a mobile billing company we get all the phones early, I had an IPhone 2-3 months before it was available in the UK. I do own one (although just used as Ipod!!) so please dont think im an Apple hater but honestly there is far better out there. A lot of people get an I phone thinking it will be ace and find out its just an Ipod with a sub standard phone put on it. The nexus one has a mouse for starters and lets be honest for surfing and games thats very useful. Being a Google android phone the surfing is excellent, fantastic range of free apps. And it runs flash and is the most poweful phone around. I know its a choice thing, but those batteries on the iphones are naff and you cant even change the things!!. The nerds in the office say they like the Iphone because they dont make or recieve voice calls. The people in the office who need a decent voice phone with signal and long lasting batteries dont touch them and go Android. If ever im out and my phone is on the table people always ask to have a look at it as well as it looks so cool.

The Google nexus 1 is the best smart phone around. You can buy one direct from Google in the US. Iphones suck IMO the signal strength on them is awful, you knock the things on to silent the whole time. The battery life is bad and generally as a phone they are not great. The Nexus 1 is awsome

Guys I will be very surprised if anyone can help with these but worth a try. Today we ran the main feed from the tank in the back to the engine bay. Now you have to tap into the fuel rail for high pressure fuel for the system. First question As I have 300 degree fuel rails do I drill and tap a hole into where one of the partially threaded blank holes are. I believe they are for fuel temp sensor but there are two as they are designed identical for each side?. Reason I ask is they look very close to the edge of the rails and maybe you need to drill and tap a completely new hole?. Second question Where on earth did you mount your solenoids for the fuel pipe to reach the fuel rail. As the pipes that go into the hard pipes are not long enough to mount the solenoids at the rear of the engine?. I have a proper 300zx kit, I had a look an Vinz engine pics but I cant have mine floating about where his are as I am not having a full cam cover.

I bet you a sack of potatoes you either destroy it trying to do the work this way, or end up having to take the engine out. You need to start listening to people on here... they are all zed owners and have done stuff like this before. Working on these cars are very difficult and its simpler just to take it out.
