Turn your zed into a police car
This would be the perfect toy for funkiSi, (or me for that fact having a white car!). Just put a light on top of the car and a streak of jam down the side and Bobs your uncle. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Police-car-incar-computer-USA-cruiser-dash-mount-RARE_W0QQitemZ180478124756QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Collectables_Memorabila_RL?hash=item2a0555a2d4 OMFG... perhaps it could be reprogrammed to play porn??? The geeks in the office would love playing with this after a week or so they would have it making women or firing pens across the office or something like that!

Opinions wanted please
Having seen your car in the flesh I think its the skirts that are the problem, I would go for some nice looking skirts. I like the rear bumper but I have one the same and like it. All down to your own choice at the end of the day but black is a great colour..

Finally starting to come together
Have been doing around 30-40 Hours a week on the zed for about 4-5 weeks now. Finally starting to get the feeling that it is all coming together. Bodywork done and all the new trim put on Started to rebuild the boot today Have the rear bumper on All the remaining audio has been bought today Double din made Interior is being re trimmed as we speak Nearly all my parts have arrived EFI harness is in Engine bay stuff is really coming along Fuse box relocated Lights back in Front mount intercooler fitted New brakes and shocks fitted Collect last of the chrome stuff next week (fingers crossed). Engine is not a million miles away either, just need the new cams put in and the cam belt and tensioners done etc then it can all go back together. There is still a whole load left to do but I have the feeling we are getting there. Really want to meet you guys at the shows etc. Im actually really looking forward to getting my interior back. Went for black suede at the bottom and black leather around the tops. Having some white stitching put in. Its going to be subtle but classy.. :tt1:

new car
For the Mrs its a fun toy, girls like different things to us. I know a few girls who like this sort of thing. Some young blonde I know has a pink Ka with playboy crap all over it and she loves it. Its not the sort of thing my Mrs would drive, but if she likes it im sure its worth every penny in "benefits in kind" :w00t:.

smooth engine bay
I used a 200zx fuel filter, its a lot smaller and mounted it lower down near the battery tray. I have a front mount intercooler so we put the fuse box behind the bumper. Accessable from under the car or through the fog light.

Is there a way to stop rust forming on discs?
I have the problem, I keep spraying and wiping mine with brake and clutch cleaner. It evaperates off quite quickly but it will allow you to make sure they are perfectly clean and dry preventing the surface rust in the first place.

oh jesus....(NA engine fail)
Ohh it sounds like a jack hammer.. not at all good.

smooth engine bay
In fact I cant believe just how much of a stock zed you can delete, bypass or throw away.

smooth engine bay
looks nice, I am moving my power steering pot to the far left corner as well. Fuse box on mine was a big job and is now out the way. Bypass the secondary clutch bleader behind the left light with a braided hose all the way to the slave cylinder. Then rip out all the crap that went with it as well as the piping and the protective brackets. Throw the Hicas in the bin... that makes more room Remove all the crap that goes to the cluch and brake booster from the plenham. You just need a few pipes with no return valves. Then the harder to do bits are just the fuse box and the power steering pump. If you move the PSP right out the way you will need to get some new pipes made up. They look lush like this!

Dog Insurance
Be a wife insurance tax soon! just in case she bites, kicks or offends someone. Yeah another stealth tax like speed cameras, National Insurance, car tax now called "excise duty" as so little of it is used on the road. They are also pulling a registration thing for horses for the same reason. Lets face it the only people who will NOT pay for it will be those people with dogs that bite the chav types with no money who have the problem ones.

Double din centre console

Double din centre console
Si you might well be right.. just have to wait and see but its worth asking the question. Nothing to loose . Like I say its not a money making thing just curious to see what the situation is.

Double din centre console
Angle on mine is fine, its touch screen same as my mrs one on her ST3 so nice and easy. But this is the thing if you make your own it is satisfying to have it how you want it. When I spoke to the plastics company they said their are different ways they could do them for low runs that have higher production costs and low tool costs. Just wait and see till they have had a good look at it I guess.

Double din centre console
Cool ok, just have a go at the double din then. How much are they? I should state that if we could get these made they should be on a non profit basis for everyone here. It might come to nothing but worth a try!

Double din centre console
I have just spoken to a local plastics company that produces parts for car manufacturers. I have an appointment to meet them next week to discuss the possibilites of manufacturing a double din facia and 99 spec light inserts. Because the run would be limited the costs might be prohibative but thought it is worth a try?. I will try and get another facia to use as a template with a normal clock hole in it, if anyone has one they want to donate they will either get it back converted to double din by me, or get one of the new ones that are made up if it is financially viable. I do need to make up as good a one as possible to do the design from.
