  1. Here is some pics of the one I have http://www.track-club.com/trackproducts/snapondigitaltorquewrench/snpontw1.aspx Have you got a picture of yours? sounds real useful...
  2. Since I have been doing my zed I have been using and buying a wide range of tools. It got me thinking what is my favourite one? Hands down it has to be my Snap on torque wrench.... It bleeps and vibrates so you know when you have hit the right torque and it is very simple to use with a digital display. Whats yours?
  3. I have my heart set on these ones im afraid.
  4. Update on these they are about £620-650 each plus VAT depending if you go five or seven spoke, plus £40 each per wheel centre. I am just waiting for Rays in Japan to confirm the 18inch rims will fit my 355mm stoptech brakes. As soon as they have done that I should be able to put my order in delivery will be 12-16 weeks hopefully. They are going to paintshop some five and seven spoke ones on a white zed for me to help me to decide.
  5. I can remember Polos being 8p and Twix bars being 13p, and wait until Kraft puts all the prices up over here because they bought Cadburys, that will be a quid soon.
  6. Its the right way to do it to stop it looking shite, standard way to do all paintwork repairs :scared:
  7. 80 Grit on a sander, then 150 grit when its smooth use a filler primer in a can and while its wet spray a black guide coat (thin coat of paint) on it. Then wet flat it all using 8-1200 wet and dry paper until all the black guide coat is removed. If you can see any left it means you have low spots and need to fill and repeat the proceedure until it is all smooth. Then paint and use G3 to cut the finnish you want.
  8. Heat them up with a paint stripper or hairdryer to seperate the glass from the adhesive. Without doing that there is a good chance you will chip or break them trying to get the glass off. I did mine in chrome spray and they look great. Getting the headlights out is a bit of a pain in the ass but well worth it.
  9. Small claims him and just keep going till you got the money. Its terrible when people do that and its a fair deal. I could understand if you fixed his leak and asked him for £20K or something like on rogue traders lol. He can claim it off his insurance as well probably.
  10. John If you need a hand let me know, will be happy to help out!
  11. IMO expect all your stuff to have been sold off, if he has needed money this bad your car, bits and engine are probably long gone. Then you will have to take him to court if you want anything back compensation wise. Good luck
  12. That is a terrible story, good luck trying to get it back after this amount of time. how come it went on so long before you went to the police etc?
  13. We have cut each and every wire on ours and are extending them to go through the chasis and under the headlight. Its quite a job to do properly. Failing that you can delete your air con unit and have them on the side of the chasis.
  14. I have bought a load of rubber black ends and it looks ok. In some places they dont fit so you cant use them. They have given me some guys number to call who manufactures the stuff. They said speak to him and then if im not convinced I can send it back less postage and packing. With any excess I planned to help some of the fellow members out on here... its better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.
  15. I still have some rubber braided left that I can use on the fuel lines but I bought 4 metres of 16MM 4 metres of 12mm 5 Metres of 10mm 6 metres of 8mm The plan was to replace all the pipes I could with it all. maybe the bigger stuff I can run wires through to tidy stuff up that way?.
  16. I have £300 of this stuff here in different sizes that arrived today, but im not putting it on if it is not up to the job. I have just sent the guy a mail asking if he will swop it for rubber or refund me but I doubt he will do either but we will have to wait and see. The other rubber stuff I bought from someone else has been fine to use, I just assumed it was all rubber!!!. Just heard back they will not refund or replace them and say they are better than rubber ones ... Tossers.. Im going to neg feedback them.
  17. Guys I have bought a load of braided hose off this chap on ebay, thing is it has all turned up and it has plastic PTFE insides instead of rubber? it is advertised as being the best kind of stuff. The last lot i bought from someone else had rubber insides Im worried about it shrinking down tightly onto the pipes and not leaking with a clip on it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280459999036&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT
  18. With the instructions I was given for my stage 6 I was told this For the first 3000 Miles you will need to use regular oil (like penzoil 10/30 or 15/50) ...NO Synthetic!. The car should be run for 1 hour or 50 miles and then the oil should be changed. After this change it can be run for up to 3000 miles until the next change.
  19. Your a star thats great thanks
  20. yes or 5 on front 7 on the back, im trying to find a pic with the seven spoke ones on a 300zx. Here are the seven spoke ones on a 350z and more pics. http://zclub.nicoclub.com/zerothread?id=461884
  21. Daz It does not show me the option to do it... never mind
  22. Im in love, these wheels are the ones for me just got to decide on what ones.
  23. This thread was meant to be a vote I must have screwed that up royaly..can a Mod set it to a vote or merge it with the other wheel thread? sorry for being a div!!! anyhows they look lush on a white car.
  24. Guys I am just waiting for prices on a set of these, I am more or less decided on them as I think they are lush and will look very smart on a white car. They are just checking my brakes will fit and getting a firm price. Question is 5 or 7 spoke in your opinion, im going for the titanium ones 5 spoke http://www.nengun.com/rays-engineering/gram-lights-57-pro 7 spoke http://www.neweraparts.com/Default.aspx?tabid=68&List=0&ProductID=314 http://www.mynismo.com/images_products/5840.jpg
  25. Its the gold go faster stripes that im in love with  or maybe the silver flaking snake on the urinal lol... Seriously that is one ugly duckling  if they were still making only fools and horses im sure Del would have replaced the lime green Capri for that.
