LOL.. i did mine when I took the lights out (which was nasty) but once you manage to do one in situ it will be a lot easier for the second one... maybe pointy nose pliers... lol.. or wait for Jeffs guide (that might be the best way) :)

as long as you have a timing light the CAS is easy as well.. Jeff has done a post on it. check all connectors, again and again... for corrosion and good connection.. PTU CAS TPS ECU coil packs injectors O2 AAI temp sensor ... etc...

I agree with groover, I know that's hard to justify to my wife..... BUT, a lot of people I know like to put their own stamp on a car and feel a lot more proud of it because its their hard work, ideas and money that has made it what it is rather than just picking up one that is mint, modded and to the spec you want a.....

let goggle search be your friend... (not a 300zx ecu) but it will look like this without the chip in it...

they do sell them... but you can remove it yourself.. the trick is to pry it out slowly and evenly.. without damaging anything else as well. this is a cheap type one....

mate, your biggest problem isn't what it work. it's how much can it get for it... ebey, pistonheads & autotrader have a number of really nice Zeds for some big money, yours looks as good but the market is really bad for selling.... If you really need to go ahead but I'd keep it if you can afford to... you know you'll only want another one later..lol... good luck either way...

i know this might seem obvious but go back and check that all the coil pack & injectors connectors are on the right plugs.... I've seen a post recently where this was a problem...
